then how do u think the origional masters got their title? i helped 2 of my guildies get their cool helmets when they became ace. u cant go whining about losing ur ship because your miserable enough to get killed with 1 shot. i honestly dont get ppl who complain so much... the games been out for a week, and u still want changes and more content on ur diner plate? gimme a break.
Welcome in the reign of sociopaths.
If I'm miserable you are retarded.
But I guess you already know that.
and btw if you need a break you can always choose to not read these posts (using pvp'er logic here)

i already said i welcome the option for u screaming ppl to pvp or not to pvp, to the bashing is useless. but i do believe from my pvp experience, its been worthwhile, i got killed numerous times, but our crew survived. ive helped with the master missions twice now, and its been usccesfull. i really dont see the point u two are making. its worthwhile for me, not worthwhile for you, thats why there should be the option now isnt it? i still wanna see pvp if the devs thought of rethinking the master missions. just arguing my stand.

I don't want to PvP. You may not understand why but it doesn't really matter. Force me to PvP in order to get somewhere in this game and I'll find another game to play. This isn't a threat, it's a fact. I play this game for totally different reasons than the people who think they are uber because they have a good template and can press a function key faster than anyone else. Regardless of what anyone says, my attitude is shared by a lot of people in this game.
JTL may have saved the life of this game... but then again, maybe it just delayed it's death for a little while.

I just wanna know if they intend to at least look into this situation... or a yes or no answer that they are gonna do something about it or not... That way I can see if SWG holds any future for me personally... But therse devs have a way of stringing people along too , combat balance anyone?

there should be an option for both, but who in the blue hell dispises pvp? in space too!!! i mean thats a main reason why i bought jtl in the first place. u think the AI in this game is actualy good?
Sorry to burst your bubble, but over 80% of the ppl here don't enjoy PvP the way you do. Your in the minority. Win or lose, the times I've been involved in PvP, I've asked myself, did I enjoy it? Each time, the answer has been no.

The dev's stated when this game came out, there would be NO forced PVP. EVER. When I learned what this meant, I loved it. Then I discovered the evil sons of @%&% that think the only way to have fun is to kill you before you can defend yourself. The joys of being load killed while TEF'd at the local starport. So, I stopped doing anything factional, EVER. Problem solved. Now, I get into space, and It's the PVP gank squads all over again, and those evil &&^&()$% are just waiting at spawn points too kill me, my friends, and anyone else that comes by. Their reeasons?
The AI is stupid! (Funny, Tier 4's and 5's still kill me all the time when they swarm)
People are smarter! (Highly debatable)
PVP is content! (No, Missions and quests are content. Killing other people is ganking. Killing people that cant defend themselves is Griefing)
The Carebears are whiners! (Um, anyone notice that when a PVP issue comes up, the PVP people scream 5X as much as us "Carebears"? And Often use a lot more offensive language when they do?)
So, back to Space. My current solution? The moment I learned of forced PVP I decided on two things. One, to post on the boards with the other hundreds of dissastisfied and outraged people to get this fixed, and two, not to even TRY to master until it GETS fixed.

come on over to EQ2, no PvP and therefore a much more mature player base. No griefers there because they can't get their jollys stealing kills from you or forcing PvP on ya.

no offence but... I want to play jtls not eq2 and people shouldnt be forced to be exposed to people that get their jollys in ganking groups engaged in something like the corvette just to master the stinking pilot proffession... especially when pvp is implemented so poorly in the first place.

Ummmmm....killing someone in a PvP area isn't ganking, it's PvP. And Killing someone to intentionally ruin their gameplay is griefing, killing someone who is overt but can't defend themselves is not griefing.

We didn't break any promises, SOE did, they should change not us.

All I can say towards this issue is agree/disagree with the fact that these missions are located in a PvP zone, thats fine and your opinion. Look at it like this though. You only have to do 1 or 2 missions there (not sure as I am tier 3 still) but I've been to Kessel and Deep Space a lot, at least once a night either in a crew on a decimator or in my TIER 3 ship!
So, my suggestion for those who don't like the way the master missions are right now is simple. I understand your arguement and can appreciate your situation. You only need to do one mission there which isn't even all that hard to complete (completed multiple times for/with friends personally), most people in the PvP zones will comply if you ask them to leave you alone. Finish that mission and from then on out don't go back there, no one is forcing you to.
I know it bugs but just go, finish it, and don't look back. I know that I (like most people) will leave you alone if you let us know you're on a mission. If you're not on a mission, it's on.

i think there are a few problems with the system as it stands:
1. we can get killed in pvp way too easy, our ships should be able to take a beating better then this, i mean a tier 5 npc seems to be able to take more damage then we can and with no damage reduction like in ground pvp we can smoke eachother in 1 or 2 shots. (this may change as the shipwrights get better at crafting armor, shields, etc. but then again they will get better at making weapons too) if the devs don't put in damage reduction i think we should have better shields and armor and the weapons be a little less powerful to even things out.
2. we shouldn't be forced to complete missions just to level, if we grind out the xp we should be able to train. we are being forced to do things we might not want to just to advance.
3. the pvp zones are all messed up imho, this is not a flame to anybody but... there are a few things that cause alot of these problems in the pvp zones:
a. some people are just jerks and get off on killing people, instead of killing someone that is trying to master pilot, why don't you try helping them out. you never know you might like helping people and they might like you for doing it (probably wont happen)
b. people just don't seem to pay attention, freelance pilots are not like neutral players in the ground game. freelance pilots are everybody’s enemy (basically says so in the book), its just that the npcs don't attack you till you do something like attack a freighter. try going to naboo and attack a freighter, the rsf will be all over you, and if you attack an imp or reb freighter they'll come after you too (i've tried). in the ground game you can't attack imps and rebs unless its part of your mission (this may have changed since the last time i was neutral)unlike jtl where as a freelance pilot you can attack almost anybody at any time.
c. last if you know you are going into a pvp zone then as a freelance pilot you should be prepared to be attacked by every single player that is there, if you are not prepared, you are dead. try bringing backup to cover you while you do your mission. (remember we freelance pilots are like smugglers, pirates, and mercenaries not innocent bystanders)
