Depending on the weapon hardpoints, I guess you could chain 2 weapons together that have different firing delay and fire both at once without the cycle.
So it would look like a single stream but it would be two weapons fired at the same time with offset delays?

what ship were you flying against?
What they could do is rotate the binded the fire key to rotate firing groups so it looks as if there firing really fast when actually they are firing 2 guns staggered
Hmm good idea.. and they were flying tie oppressors so that is a possability.

How do you set the guns up to be stagered fire? I get sick of the bland shots.

I've done the same thing with my Longprobe. Set up 2 weapon groups, first one only has one cannon in it, while the second one has both. Start firing with the first and while holding down the trigger, switch over to the second. You are now firing staggered (provided it was timed right).
Another way (and perhaps a bit easier) is to just setup both groups with just one of the guns each and then in the keymap options, look for the one that says to "Fire current weapon group and cycle". Bind your fire key to that and you should have it. Just be careful that you don't have any missiles in there.
I haven't tried this option though so I don't know if there is a delay in the cycling of the weapon groups.

Bah on that note... got my response "there is nothing player made that could drop below .300"
Not true.. I've seen weapons fire that looks almost like a continuous stream. I asked the guy about his weapons and they were advanced blasters that created with a subcomponent to make them fire faster. He said his blasters were .22 refire rate. Chain these two blasters together and you get what seems like a continous stream.
Only problemis these blasters will drain your cap in the blink of eye. The imperials I think have a skill or droid command that allows them to "overcharge" their weapons or capacitor..

There's an exploit where weapon overload can be stacked multiple times. That's my best guess at what you saw.
I thought it was fixed.

No. I'm in the guild he is talking about. No exploits going on. Just smart changes made to the ship/weapons.

Idont know if the imperial ships get 3 hardpoints for weapons but i do know the neutrals do.I can lay down what seems to be a continous stream of fire by having weapons with a .33/.40/.43 fireing rates.
