Thread: Master level missions: a SOLUTION to make everyone happy.

Yeah and no one is forcing me to play the game either, but I'd like to do it and have fun. Part of my definition of that fun is being a mastah pilot so I can get that b-wing.
And about it being hard: get real about it, defeating this AI has NOTHING to do with skill. Skill would be fighting other players and winning. The mission is stacked so in a manner that is so difficult only you uber-l44t doods will be mastah pilot. I play the game casually and would like the option of being able to finish this. And NO I don't have 30 friends to bring along and NO I don't have the time to beg random leet-doods to help me.
I think us 7.5m people need us a slogan.

So, when it's whats fun to you - it's ok, but when it's the other way around, it's forcing my opinions? Defeating the AI takes no skill, we agree. Having the mission placed in a difficult area, where you have to look out for PVP, does take skill, and tactics. (the hyperspace gankers are another issue, and that should be prevented).
I am not a leet player, and in fact am a casual, and to me, seeing everyone being a master something-or-another ruins the game, but since that part of the game is forced on me, it's fine, isnt it.
Even hardcore 20 hours a day players should be hardpressed to make the master levels of any class IMO - they should be something legendery, to have them otherwise would be like a galaxy full of Han Solo's, and making that "one-in-a-million" shot, something that almost anyone could do, and that is not how it should be IMO.
Ok, well, dont wanna see many master pilots? Dont get it, stay at 4444 yourself. I am somehow willing to bet you wouldnt dare dream of that. Everyone else's progression should be halted, but yours ofcourse. The game shouldnt be about how many are masters of anything, it should be about what you do after getting to it. The trip should be fun, but it shouldnt be the end game itself. I for one dont care how many master pilots are in the sky, I dont care how many master whatevers are around. It doesnt directly affect my game, nor does me getting master pilot affect yours.

I am not near 2222, to say nothing of 4444. I am not near being a master at anything, and am in facrt, a casual player. So, you forcing your opinions that everyone should be able to be a master at any class is somehow better than me hoping that becoming a master is not an easy task?
And to me, having everyone a Master DOES ruin my game. There should not be a lot of B-wings, Tie whatevers, or any of the high level craft. There should not be a lot of BH's that are just as good as Bobba Fett, pilots as good as Han Solo, and so on. But since thats what you want - in this case, it's fine to ruin someone elses game, since it isn't yours, huh?

Here is the difference between what I said, and what you think.
You can directly affect how dificult the mission is for you. You want harder? use a teir 1 ship with teir 1 weaponry. You dont wanna see a lot of master anythings? Dont become one, but again thats not something your gonna do because that would require you to sacrafice something
1. A time limit in Kessel of fifteen minutes tops.
2. No camping of player hyperspace areas.
3. High level Mobs spawn on large groups (Group TEF) to discourage griefing of single or two many teams.
That is all.

<sigh> This just isn't getting through, is it? You think you deserve to be a Master anyclass, I think there should be very few of any masters of anyclass. I am not saying it should be me, in fact I doubt I ever will be a master at any given class. See, I am not saying *I* should be, I am saying almost *NO ONE* should be. NOT ME, ok?
I have already sacrificed my view, since there are Master everything everywhere, and whether I become a master, or not, will not change that.
Maybe now, you will understand what I am saying.

High level craft are not the only craft you will see with master pilots, each pilot has their own taste. A few of the imp master pilots have TIE interceptors rather than oppressors. The few rebels that have mastered it have either gone with the a-wing or the x-wing, depending on taste (a couple have stayed with the b-wing though, a huge loadout but you sacrifice with speed and agility)

Allowing players to simply grind out the xp will devalue the rewards for doing it "the hard" way. Who cares about the ace pilot jacket? You know and I know, that themain reason people want to get master pilot is to get the cool ships. So great.. everyone can just grind out 7.5 mill xp in a week, if that, and everyone is flying around in YT 1300s, Nova Couriers, and Decimators.
I say keep the master pilot rare, or at least very very hard to get... and no I'm not a master pilot; but I'm helping people do their missions, and they will help me do mine. If you get a decent group together the missions become easier.
You won't get master pilot...im gonna grief you till you CANCEL your account!

I agree, some will, but a lot of them will not. But the truth is, this is all a minor issue, since the REAL whining will start once master piloting becomes as standard like the rest of the classes master crap has, and then people will whine that there is nothing more to do....

i guess you would prefer a game that you couldn't get to the top of the class? where masters are rare and everyone else is stuck wallowing in the field of the masterless? that would sure make for a fun game!!!
being a master pilot doesn't put you on the level of han solo, boba fett or darth vader, that is your own personal skills and you would see those no matter where you are on the tree. Being a master imp pilot or rebel pilot is like saying: well i just graduated flight school, i have learned all the book knowledge and all there is left is real world application.
