Thread: Vetran Reward Yacht. Vets, lets talk Yachts.
I played JTL beta, and when I was piloting the yacht, In cockpit view mode the screen was 50% instrument panels and junk, a very small amount of screen was dedicated to sight. Zooming out helped releve this a bit, but only because the ship was see-through zoomed half-way out.
Is piloting the yacht as cumbersome as it was in beta?

How do you use your Yacht? Take friends in it, have partys sometimes, i use it all the time instead of taking that dirty old public transportation.
Would you want to see anything changed about the Yacht? Yes, make it so you can upgrade at least the engine, turning is slow and we have a weapons capacitor yet no weapons????Get rid of the lot needed for it and make the item space 100 at least.
They fixed this in live, when you zoom out you can see the entire ship now. LOL i remember that it was awful.

Right now i am setting it up as my House, its kindof nice.. before when i would craft i would sit in my house and craft staring at the wall.. now i park my yacht somewhere and i craft while watching empty space :-)

I think the best suggestion i've seen so far on the yacht is allow other players to dock with the yacht and come aboard or trade

Do I feel rewarded? Yes. It's not like SOE had to give us something, much less something even remotely useful.
Do I like the Yacht? Yes. It's pretty, and it's different.
How do I use my Yacht? Primarily as a means of transportation when I don't want to take my TIE Fighter somewhere, and secondarily as a storage area for extra ship loot. Since I'll be unloading my ship loot soon, I'll probably decorate the ship instead.
What would I like to see changed? Make the items limit a little higher, more inline with the limit for a medium house rather than a small. I do think that it should continue to take up a lot, though, because it performs virtually all the functions of a house.

It's nice to look at, but after a while you start to look at the functionality of it. Can it be used for whatever you wish or is it limited? As the only other option to a multi-transport vehicle, I find it severely lacking.

I would like it to be upgradeable as it was originally advertised. I would like to see the lot cost made nil.

I like it. Love the interior design and floorplanning.

I use it to craft in and just have a place where I can sit back and relax some.

More storage please! Then it would justify me giving up a harvester for it.
but I simply LOVE that thing ! when I get tired of pwning space in the TIEs, I get a couple (or more) friends, and we board the yacht, it's not even equipped, we just make turns on piloting, while the others hang around, I thought about organizing a PvP tournament in it, doable with 20 people, maybe just the finals. anyway, the sightseeing is simply AWESOME, when I'm in there, I don't care bout missions, don't care bout xp or "being uber master ace kickyaa$$ 1337 d00d r0x0rzzzz", I'm having fun and that's the WHOLE point of it, hang out with buddies.
I love that boat, wouldn't drop it for absolutely NO reason, I'd rather drop one TIE than drop that beauty.

It's great to go out in and craft while watching other people fight around your ship.
I would like to see it be upgradeable by a master pilot at which point it is no longer invulnerable.

How do you use your Yacht? .............Did plan on useing it to store ship parts, but that idea got jacked.
Would you want to see anything changed about the Yacht? ............For a ship that is that large, that many rooms, that much potential fror interior customization, it should have a larger item cap. I really don't think it needs to be upgradable, it is acruise ship after all. Also, it shouldnt take up a slot in ship storage, so that way you coul dalways have ax-wing, a-wing, and a y-wing (or whatever you preffer) in the datapad at the same time.

I love it. I sometimes fly around in it just because it's not attackable and I can just explore with it. Good times, no harrassment.
I wish it could have more stuff in it. Other than that, I'm pretty pleased.

Definently storage space! Much moooore. I like the speed. Though it wouldn't to be just a bit faster. Maybe make it so autopilot can work without a pilot? Maybe make it so it has it's own ship slot? Instead of taking up one the three.
