Perhaps even implimenting the idea of oceanic travel, nothing major, maybe just a small boat or two to either carry players across large bodies of water, or can be used for fishing or other recreational purposes, whatever works. That and expanding on the idea of multi-passenger vehicles, both on land, and adding more to the JTL expansion.

I feel the next expansion probly wont have any main point. In the sence it adds things that are large, but not specific enough to say thats what the expansion is about. Such as Atmospheric flight and underwater environments. Pod raceing is always a posibility, as well as many new features for Space like space stations and the like. The next expansion could also cover new planets and space zones.


As you can see there are a LOT of possibilities for a new expansion when you think about it.

Since they based the game off a book/movie there is only so much u can do with out going out side the lines. However there is one thing that can be constant that rebs cant get along with imps. So maybe interduce new planets and a system that would alow the opposing factions to fight for control of a planet. The faction that controls a planet would get bonus for being in control. Maybe while some one is on a planet/townunder the control by there faction they dont receive flags except to the people that are grouped with the opposing faction. Alsocovert player can attack an overt players. Also the stander do nothing npc receive the flag of that faction to show whos control its under, and if ur under the the opposite faction its best to keep distance from them or they may spot you and flag you. The chance of being flaged or bonus u get would be based on who has the most control of the area/planet.


Its a thought not a detailed discription



one more idea they should add better mini games like chess or checkers (changed to fit star wars), also i hope they fix the gambling areas its an eye sore (lets see some moving graphics)

My Idea: Star Wars Galaxies: Warzone (Mind the name, heh its the only one that came to mind)


A new full scale warzone, where Imperials and Rebels clash at it, eliminating dinky Battlefields. Imperials can mount turrets, move in to AT-STs, AT-ATs, Tie Fighters, anything that the Devs can give us, we can use it to fight. Rebels use there ships and turrets against Imperials and so on.(Think of BF1942 but SWG style :smileyvery-happy I think this would be a great idea, if the Devs can figure out a way that this wouldnt bring servers down lol. Same thing in Space, Have Warzones at Space Docks and such.


Please post your ideas!

Well, If they are only going to add on to or improve existing systems then I think that should come in patches & not an expansion. To me expansions should introduce something entirely new that is not at all part of the existing game (until the technology exists to blend them together).


Once Land & Space are blended together we will be able to have atmospheric flight as well, & the only thing left that would justify an expansion in my eyes would be Ocean Travel. Experiencing the underwater core of Naboo & Kamino would be the ultimate next big step & worthy of another $30 purchase in my opinion.

atmospheric flight will not work with the current system... the battle systems for space and ground are so different it wouldnt work... maybe if they follw his game up with a swg2 that would work but not on this engine... or both these engines

The next expansion should be about incorporating player controlled capital ships. Players serving upon a capital ship could choose to serve in either the boarding/invasion forces, star fighter services, or as a primary member of the capital ship's crew. Rebel and Imperial players would take advantage of the current useless rank structure and would be awarded promotions based upon tasks completed andperformance during a battle.A player servingas a crew member couldeventually become captian of theship. Eventuallywith enough capitial ships in a fleet a player could reach the rank of Admiral and be in charge of muliple capitial ships. Neutral faction players could serve upon a mercenary ship and who's services could be sold to either the rebel or imperial services for an up and comming battle. This would bring back a sense of the military aspects that are sorely being missed from the game and would make the GCW once again the main focus of the game.

There are a lot of possabilities, huh?


I'd love to see many of the ideas mentioned including ground combat vehicles, underwater cities, and new planets. One thing to consider is that they may advance the timeline (just slightly) to be right around RoTJ. I can see an expansion using that as the theme.

Well, the devs have already indicated that they want to allow for atmospheric travel. Thus, I would imagine the next really big step would be to add this capability, which will be non-trivial. Think about it, JTL is almost a seperate game, with starports being the link between SWG and JTL (aside from the introduction of the Shipwright profession).


When JTL comes out, things will work like this:



  1. Go to a starport

  2. Pull out datapad

  3. Double-click ona ship

  4. Load screen

  5. In space

With the introduction of atmospheric travel, things will work like this:



  1. Go to a bay in a starport (that you have rented or leased)

  2. Pull out your datapad

  3. Double-click on a ship

  4. Ship appears in bay

  5. Refuel, load cargo, do repairs/upgrades

  6. Board

  7. Take-off

  8. Fly through the air

  9. Go to another port on the planet, or into space


The transition is smooth, truly bringing together SWG and JTL as a single game. Opens the door for additional possibilities, like floating cities (e.g., those found on Duro and Ithor) and gas mining installations (e.g., Bespin).

How bout more stuff? More player buildings, housing, clothes, vehicles, weaps, creature mounts. Stuff is getting stale.
