Ok, that was more than two words, but seriously folks.. most of these complaints are from people trying to solo JTL. I have no sympathy for them.

PvPisnt, in any way, relevant to finishing the Master Pilot mission

if people want to finish their quest

why should they waste their time fighting another player?

Obviously PvPIS relevant to the Master Pilot mission otherwise SOE and the devs would not have put it in the frickin' PvP zone. Why did they do that? So lame ass solo grinders can't become master pilots in a week by figuring out how the AI works!

Now it's one thing to complain about players exploiting a known bug to 1 shot kill other players, but I'm tired of you whiners complaining about being forced to PvP to get your precious master pilot. It's supposed to be hard. It can't really get any harder, so just imagine how good you'll feel when you finally get it; and yes, you will probably owe your friends big time and will help them achieve theirs when it's their turn. It's not like all the master pilots are sitting in kessel griefing other players. Find a master pilot or two who will help you out! Try communicatingwith other players for ounce..bring a group of 20 in..

Above all.. quit your whining.. you babies!

First, its VERY hard to gather a group. Be it a group of 5 or 15. Very few people are willing to help. They're busy with their personal business. Would you be willing to help me on my missions?

Second, assuming you gathered a group of 15, what if there's 20 players in that PvP areawhoWANTS toPvP?

There is really no way around this "dumbest idea ever" putting a mission in a PvP area except pull it out there.

Players who do not want to pvp will complain...that I guarantee you

You know, there's plenty of whining on both sides to go around, Mr. Kettle.

True indeed on that one, both sides are trying to out whine the other, as long as people realize that's what they are doing its all good.

oh dear listen to this guy...

i brought friends. were all tier 4. im in a guild and have access to plenty of help. however, not everyone does. not everyone has a huge guild, has tons of friends, nor do they have connections with super crafters. the average player has only a handful of friends, and has access to the same substandard junk componants the rest of us have.

no it isnt relevant whatsoever. just like its not relevent to any professions on the ground (excluding jedi). imagine a 4444 artisan trying to fight a group of rifleman/cm on the way to his 'master mission'.

im sorry but this is a huge copout, and you even say so yourself. the AI is worthless and easy to 'learn'. i agree 100%. SOE wasnt capable of implementing AI on par with many other games out there. so to compensate for it they figured theyd make this a challenge by allowing the players duke it out instead.

lame ass solo grinders...lol. like i said i was grouped. have been since the second tier 3 mission. that goes without saying. but still, way to force your prefered playstyle on the rest of the community.

and the last point about being in a 20 man group....LAG LAG and some more LAG. it gets bad with 6 or more let alone 20. sorry but this isnt a viable solution to encouraged griefing.

next?

I'm doing my tier 3 missions right now, and have read over all the posts about the master pilot "problem". Honestly, I can't wait to try it. Quit complaining just because it's a little hard. JTL is a completely different game than the ground one, so maybe not everybody is supposed to be able to master. I mean, don't you get tired of seeing master after master running by you on the ground? This is skill based, not just clicking. So quit complaining cause there's someone out there who can fly better than you, and practice so you can come back and kill him next time.

you obviously havnt tried pvp in space yet.... its serious one hit kills pretty much... its all luck of who can turn there ship's lasers in the enemies direction and shoot blindly and manage to get a hit in and then *KABOOM*

as soon as you get to master mission, i ber we will see you here... until then, have fun on the other misions that arn't pvp...

anyways, this was a serious problem we saw on beta, only we had many people master because we didnt have as many greifers, we just had people who wanted to be master and that was it, so they all would have mini alliance's withen kessel to hold fire so they could do the mission... this would be impossible on live....

Since you apparently haven't been paying attention, here it is again: It's currently not about skill or who flies better. It's about who shoots first. Period. I'm hearing that the best PvP setup is no shields, no armor, and amped-to-the-gunwales weapons with a good booster.

If you get hit, you're done. That's not skill. And just from a "realism" perspective, if the technology was so poor and the weapons so overpowered as to do this in the SW universe, there'd be no pilots. "Get in that thing? Good lord, no. What do I look like to you- stupid or suicidal?"

I mean, as a roleplayer, it'd be hard to justify getting into a ship with armor and shields that might as well be made out of balsa wood as highly advanced field projectors and amazing ablative alloys.
