You go right ahead and solo the Vette, when I get my Nova and your still doing your mission I'll drop you a line, cause I will still group because you need to group to finish the master mission.
Pretending to be able to solo that mission to get them to change thier mind isn't gonna do it, the PvP was the reason.

Couldn't you at least split the mission into two master missions? One for rebels/imps that takes place in a PvP zone, and one for neutral faction players that take place in the PvE zone? That way the players have an option of not having to PvP... and can still obtain the YT 1300 and Firespray.
One the first part, I disagree. It is a great idea, but there are some additional challenges. People with hot boxes have the advantage over PvE players with "not cutting edge" computers and players are getting killed during load times and really, no one likes to get camped, regardless of playstyle. I've talked to a lot of players who are just "regular players" and having a tough time with it.
As far as splitting it into two different types of missions, I dont think that will happen, but we are considering an alternate advancement for the PvP missions. Nothing in stone yet. We are just working on accomodating players who are just trying to get their master box.

But you greif types would be bored.. no one to gank as they load in. So what happends instead? So they don't move the mission, just like you wanted, they make the entire sector PvE instead. Oh the irony.

Even without it, since you dont loose the mission when you die, load up your ship with torps and bombs, and make strafe runs with full speed attack a system take it out, ok die then who cares, you come back for more.
45 minutes is plenty of time to take it out
Gunboats yeah, but the vette is a long shot to solo, few if any will be able to do it, your making it seem that EVERYONE can solo a vette and that is not true, in fact I doubt more then 1% could.

I am as die-hard of PvE player you will find in this game, yet I have never asked for Kessel to be made PvE.
Move the Master missions outside Kessel yes, make it completely PvE, no.
But it seems that the prefered way is not doable by the Devs, so we get this.
Ah well.
