I say no. Vendors are a luxury reserved for people who sell. To give everyone vendors would be like giving everyone a novice elite skill for free. Artisans have to work to get their vendors, just like TKA's have to work to get Meditation. Even suggesting what you're suggesting would be met with overwhelming opposition.
Options:
1. Get Busines 3 and have your one vendor. If it's too much to invest in, you shouldn't be selling. (you're not a businessman so why would you sell?)
2. Find a Merchant who will lease you a vendor. I used to do this when I was a Merchant. I either charged a flat fee(around 10k a month I think), or I received 5% of their sales.
To ask for free vendors with no work to get them is well, ignorant.
this is just one vendor we're talking about with loads more restrictions then what a "Merchant" has to deal with.
The "Get Busines 3 and have your one vendor. If it's too much to invest in, you should'nt be selling. (you're not a businessman so why would you sell?)" is, no offense meant here, but quite a stupid statement. people sell stuff all the time weather or not they have a vendor and without haveing anything in theartisan tree. This is just a way to make things a bit easier for selling stuff for those that dont have all the extra slots just to go thruArtisanto lvl 3 buisnessjust to have one vendor.
Vendors are a luxury reserved for people who sell? I would say that it isnt a luxury by the way the game is setup. This is an extremely interactive game that you HAVE to interact with people in order to get anything in the game. It has no NPC vendors set up to where you can buy a landspeeder or a xwing or weapons or armor or any kind of resourses or anything else for that matter. You HAVE to buy stuff from people. There is no way around it.
Find a Merchant who will lease you a vendor... sure I could do that but then I would have to trust someone else with any extremely high quality items that i may have. /acting out scenario :Me: Hello Sturmrider i've known you for awhile and am pretty sure i can trust ya think i could lease a vendor from ya? :Sturmrider: Sure!!! :Me: Great!!! :cutscene of Me putting items into vendor that add up to roughly 10mil then logging out: :Sturmrider thinks to himself: hrmm wonder what he's selling. Oh wow!! He's got tons of awsome stuff that he's selling for...hrmm have most of it but.... what i couldnt do with the money that that stuff would make... no he's a good friend of mine i couldnt do such a thing to em...ah what the heck he's only a pixel anyways. :cutscene of Sturmrider accessing Admistrator privlages and removeing Me:. /end scenario. Oh yeah thats what i really want happening to me.
Free vendors with no work to get them?? Scuze me but did you not read my restrictions that i put down? Sure it may not cost xp to get but it does have several restrictions that im quite sure make up for all of that. Not to mention you need money just to get em whereas a Artisan just needs business3, xp (something they're getting anyways to make stuff to sell)and a house to get one for free.

I know my options. But am just trying to make it to where average joe doesnt have to jump thru hoops just to sell something. ie: sitting around spaming for hours on end and getting so frustrated they sell it at a price thats way below what they should get for it or selling it to a merchant at (again) below the average selling amount.
Like i said in my first post I know this really doesnt belong in JTL forum but it doesnt really belong in any forum except an ideas forum. you put it in an Artisan or Merchant forum and they will shoot it down just because they like haveing a monopoly on being able to sell stuff for more then you can on the bazaar or in front of a starport.
Why doesnt SOE put in an Ideas forum anyways? Put all the ideas in one area so they dont have to go looking around for em :/

If everyone in the game could just have even just one vendor I think that that would be awesome. right now theres only two ways for the average joe to sell stuff, one is to use the bazaar which only lets you sell stuff up to 6k crs, and two to stand in front of a starport for quite possibly HOURS just to sell one thing (or more). Whats so fun about those?
============================================================================
These are your two options because you are not a merchant. If Average_Joe want to sell stuff and make decent money selling stuff then he should learn about Business (Aritisian) and to become very successful take up the Merchant profession.
If Average_Joe does not want to make lots of money selling stuff, then he can find other waysof doing it (ie, bazaar or spamming). Or even sell to a merchant who will add a fee on top when he sells it.
If you have 100K units of nice steel, you can sell it in small lots of 1000 units and make some decent money selling at 6 cpu, or you can sell it to a merchant who may be willing to buy the entire 100,000 units at 3-4 cpu an resell it at a higher price. You make 400,000 credits right away or you can make 600,000 credits over a week or two.
There are options but to be a decent seller you must learn Business and Merchant.

Oh by the way, not only is there a Merchant forum, Artisian Forum, and a Core Rules forum, but it seems just about any forum but JTL would be more appropriate for this since you cannot have vendors in space, even in multi-passenger ships you cannot have vendors.

Sorry but I still feel this is a good idea and needs a bit more info from other players on it.
