MAybe its my imagination but do SACpups cause faster decay like high powered barrels do?


It could just be that Im firing faster thus increasing decay rate but wanted to make sure.

Both slicing and using powerups should increase the rate of decay.

erm follow up qustion. Short of an ADK. what is the most effiecnt way to keep decay to a minimum and what is the most effective way of repairing a weapon.



Also at what point should you repair a weapon.

Dont slice your gun, and dont use powerups and it will last a lot longer, when it gets to about 1/4 condition you want to think about repairing it.


If you want to do it yourself, get some 99% effectiveness weapon repair tools, or you can take it to a Master Weaponsmith, it's a contested issue as to whether or not Armoursmiths and Weaponsmiths have hidden repair mods but I think they do.


99% weapon repair on the tool doesn't mean you only have 1% chance of failure, you can still destroy your weapon with a 99% repair tool, but Weaponsmiths seem to have much less chance of breaking a gun on repair.


They may lower the max condition, but they tend not to break them.

What's the Kinetic/Energy I could expect a 12 point AS to craft on Assault armor if I wanted them to be equal? Could I get capped Elemental protection with that?

All stats would be around 6000. It would be equivalent to unlayed battle amor but much pricier. And 12 points has nothing to do with it.

Ah, okay... and apologies on the 10 vs. 12 point question. I haven't been familiar with armor crafting since the CU hit, and I didn't know if extra points helped the resists at all.

On a set of kinetic layered assault armor, 8050 kinetic, 3950 energy, 6K base


On a set of energy layered assault armor,4950 kinetic,6050 energy, 6K base (I think)


And.. you could get capped Elemental damage on every type of armor (which is 6K).

Hm... What would an energy/Primus split look like? First get them even, then raise both? Would the elemental at least be even, or would cold be lesser/stronger than heat or somesuch?

Considering I have cores thatmake assault energy armor that'sroughly 5900/5900, I concur

Here's the core question I had: Would a set of assault armor ever be "acceptable" for general use and in PVP, especially where expecting to go up against Energy type weapons? Considering that I use 8k/4k/6k Recon right now, I'd think that Energy Assault would make me wince, but if I just HAD to wear it (and I would ), it would be fine protection?
