This is a joke right? A tie advance killed my nova in 2 hits before I could even respond 2 hits!!!! thats 2433 shields 1500 hp armor.

That is pretty ridiculous. 2 or 3 shots should get you through the shields, sure. But 1-2 hits to turn someone's ship into a ball of plasma? Not so much.

I'm doing my tier 3 missions right now, and have read over all the posts about the master pilot "problem". Honestly, I can't wait to try it. Quit complaining just because it's a little hard. JTL is a completely different game than the ground one, so maybe not everybody is supposed to be able to master. I mean, don't you get tired of seeing master after master running by you on the ground? This is skill based, not just clicking. So quit complaining cause there's someone out there who can fly better than you, and practice so you can come back and kill him next time.

Ok you saying it's based on skill what's so skillfull about hiting a slow moving target and killing it in 1 hit?

uh...dude...if your a Master, you shouldnt be flying around in the Nova...the Bwing is the strongest ship in the game. 4 blasters, and the heaviest of armor. use THAT before you complain about dieing quickly.

and yes it does matter about skill. Skill of both you and your gunners. I have a sad feeling that you are complaining because someone is better than you, which is something SWG never showed many people.

um flying with my friends in deep space taking out a star destroyer the nova is suppose to be stronger because it;s bigger and should hold better shields and armor. A b wing is ment for tactical strikes not dog fighting.

I've heard of a possible exploit involving the imperial "overcharge" shot skill being stackable.. which may be allowing players to do 1 shot kills. Has anyone else heard of this or can verify it? If this is an exploit, then it's a legitimate complaint.

Its no exploit. Look at the damage the weapons can do, now look at the points your shields can take and armor. Most lvl 7 guns exceed the combined number. The community screamed at the development team in beta to tone down PvP damage, nothing happened. To me a perfect fight would be the time it takes me to kill a Tier 4 NPC at 4/4/4/4. Not forever but several seconds at least. I have three Mark 7 Blasters that do 1800-2700 on my ship. I've yet to have a single player ship Master Box or lower survive more than one shot from these and these aren't even anywhere near the best, I've died just as fast as well.

I'm the TIE Advanced pilot in this anecdote. Was flying about the Star Destroyer in Deep Space dodging B-wings when my Tab lands me on a nearby Nova Courier... I swing around to the back of the ISD, take aim, and fire a couple volleys with my Christmas Guns (one's red, one's gun, get it?), and that was that.

Granted, I have a pair of guns that are in the 2k-3k range. And I use Weapon Overload. But seriously, should I really have wiped these guys out that quickly? I don't think so. This is the very same reason I don't bother with the Decimator in Deep Space; I know that if I get hit by any other player out there, I am more or less finished. Would much rather be in my Advanced and evade the firepower for now.

I think we more or less have some bipartisan agreement here. If we want to make PvP playable by anything more than Advanceds and A-wings, we need some means of damage mitigation in PvP. Shooting up these Nova Couriers with awesome shields, hulls, and armors and wiping them out this quickly just isn't cool, even from my side of the controls.

Now let's hope somebody out there is reading this. I'm starting to lose the PvP adrenaline rush I used to get when I first entered Kessel.

Skill up, little newbie. At tier-3, you have no idea of what you're talking about.
