The Beta freaks always always always get there first and ruin the game for everyone else. Why? Because there is nothing left for them to do but GRIEF!!!!!
The Beta freaks vs the Casual Player, no contest-- the Beta Freaks rule any game and as a result end it for everyone with the game going belly up.
Something to think about.

I plaid in Beta ... i am a Ace pilot ... *GASP* i must be a Griefer then ..
oh wait, i spend most of my Time in space with helping others in Missions
Something you should think about is not to insult other players only cause they advanced faster then you, or you end up alone in your missionscause noone wants to help you since he is a "Beta Freak"

Hey!
I was in JTL-Beta and I'm only at Privateer (Freelancer) 2222 now......
I was in the original Beta and I roleplayedto getMBH about 3/4 of a year....
So not all BETAS rule. Some only play the game and try to help to make it better.....
Because in THIS game we are all BETA's.......![]()
(Even YOU can be one, if you send in all the bugs you see......)

Not all Beta tester are Like that, Plus we started over with release, we had some advanced Knowledge of what to expect. but most of the time things didn't work, we were there as they were being fixed. There are Griefers out there, and alot of them are not beta testers.

I was in Beta - and I'm a casual, solo player.
Wanna try again, Jetvision?
I take your point - we knew in Beta that Kessel was going to be Griefer Central and said as much many times on the Beta boards. Heck I was grifed twice yesterday while doing my 30-kill master mission. Once two kills from being done, and the second ten kills from completion. I got it done on the fourth run.
But don't broad-brush the Beta community. The majority of the Masters on my server at the moment weren't in Beta.

I think you would refer to the power gamers as opposed to those that particpated in Beta. I myself was in Beta but proceeding through pilot at a casual pace. I take time to hunt with the guild, helped some people with their phase 3 missions and working on shipwright. I consider myself a casual gamer and simply take the game at a relaxing casual pace. Those that have mastered ace pilot are the power gamers probably playing several hours if not close to all day. Most information on blasting through pilot are on the forums as well as ship and component stats. I won't list them here as there are too numerous to list. Usually looking at the stickies for the relevant pilot and game guide forums is enough to give you all the information you need.

Well on my server almost all the first master pilots were not in beta so that should say something...

I really question what people call griefing these days.
The fact is.... The devs knew people would be mastering pilot and going into kessel to hunt players. Or they would've changed it.
It's really not griefing to go into a PvP zone and kill other players, regardless of their purpose there. Griefing? no..... there's another term for it..... but it's not really appropriate here
That being said..... I was in beta as well, made master pilot fairly quickly, however, I haven't gone into Kessel once with the sole purpose of PvP.... have only gone in to do missions.
I've killed other players in Kessel, those that were running missions as well. I killed one player 3 times in Kessel, almost right in a row. After the third kill, they sent me a tell saying "What's your f-ing problem, why do you have to be a pr-ck?"
The fact is, I was just doing my mission and trying to stay alive.......
There is nothing after Master Pilot but helping other players and PvP.
Getting to master pilot is not supposed to be easy, nor should it take a week.
Consider getting to lvl 50 in Dark Ages of Camelot or Everquest, or any other MMORPG..... generally it takes months+.
SWG has probably the fastest grind of any game, and yet when they do things to try to make it slower/harder, people throw a fit.

I resent that stereo-typing. I was also in beta, and all I do is help others. I'm 4433 with 1.8 million xp banked. I'll master tonight or tomorrow. My plans after master?
To take my guilds and friends up in my YT-1300 to help them get mass xp, or to take my Rihkxyrk and help on missions. Maybe a Firespray if we get one soon.
Bottom line is, you're stereo-typing, just like those adults who think all teenagers are drug-using griefers.
Get over your-self.

They aren't all drug-using griefers?

I was in Beta and I'm only 3-1-1-1, does that make me a griefer? Of the masters in my guild, only 1 was in beta and we have about 4 or 5 now. Most of us fly with each other helping each other on their missions. I am sure there were some beta players there to find the loopholes to take advantage during live, but to say that all beta testers ruin the game for you is just showing your immaturity. You are referring to the power games and even then you can not make a blanket statement towards them. We have several power gamers in our guild and they are not griefers/exploiters.

I was in beta, and I did masterlike 5 days ago. Onehitting people? You betcha
How else would you have it? Would you rather have it like a melee duel with both people in 90% comp suits? Fast paced and skilled fights in space are awesome. Kudos to the devs for making it like that, and more kudosto the devs for making you go to a pvp zone to finish your profession. You call getting killed in a pvp zone once or 10 timesgrieving? Take some friends with you, or you could try practicing. JTL is based more on player skill level rather than who has the better equipment. The devs did such a good job that I'm almost certain it will be dumbed down like the ground game from all the people crying about not being able to progress to master because of all of the "grieving" players. And I thought rebels cried a lot on the ground

I disagree. I was in the beta as well and I'm not yet master pilot on the live server but I should be in the next day or two. I would have made it there faster but I've spent a lot of time helping other people with their lower tier missions. What do I plan to do when I get master? PvP like crazy and have a Thanksgiving party for my guild on my YT-1300. There's plenty to do besides grief. Hey the same could be said for jedi:Once you get to knight, what is there to do but grief and kill-steal? Not everyone plays the same man.
