Could you people give it a rest. The only people worried about this, are the Griefers and Gankers. And if, you don't fall with in one of these two groups, you're just cryin. I mean, what is there to complain about here. PVP isn't gone, you just have to be overt. The whiners don't like this because, they can't grief when they want to. They cry that it's to hard to find overt players with out a PVP zone. If, so many PVP'ers weren't griefers, there would be more people PVPing, because, it is fun. But so many choose to ruin the experiance, for everyone, then they wonder why game companies, go to such lengths to keep PVP out of the games. I have seen many posts already, blaming PVE'ers for the change to Kessel. That is the biggest pile of $H**. I have heard. PVP'ers have to look no further, that a mirror. If you people want PVP so badly, take controll of all the griefers, The next time you see one of you're so called friends, ruining someone else's game time experiance, put a stop to it. People pay a lot of money to play these games, and they don't deserve to have it ruined by some PUNK. I too, would like to see PVP in this game, but not as long as I have to put up with Griefers and Gankers.

Nicely said.

With the swg population cut in half this month (maybe even lower) it'll be rare to run into another player in any other zone besides a pvp zone. All we wanted is a non-tier based zone for constant pvp. Is it too much to askof all the whinners who have ruined this game to give us that? God forbid for 2 missions you get a challenge. Changing Kessel into a non-forced pvp zone isn't the answer. Just put the corvette somewhere else.
Crybabies like you who want SOE to coverpeople in a blanket and bottle feedthem at the expense of real gamer's experience is what ruined this game. SWG will be dead in a year. Mark my words.
Just to prove you're wrong; how is it that a "griefer", as you call them, who pays the same money as you each month, has less of a right to play the game the way its intended and designed? yeah, stf* scrub. Go play EQ2 if you can't handle pvp and leave swg to the real gamers.

He got it from HL2, Halo 2, WoW, and EQ2 all being released this month...
As for the pvp'ers complaining, it is because kessel was the open pvp zone for JTL that you don't have to pay to go into. With the pvp damage with what it is it becomes rather costly to pvp in deep space any amount of time.

I PvP
I am not a 'kid'
I do not grief
I do not gank
I think this change is terrible.
Do not make assumptions about those of us who enjoy the higher end, higher skill content .
I want a place to play the GCW part of the game against other players. That is part of what I pay my monthly fees for. Kessel was one of those places. Now, because there is a belief that mastering a profession is a guaranteed right granted to everyone regardless of their abilities or desire to fully participate in the game, I cannot do that.
I like that you have to be exposed toPvP combat before mastering pilot. It is a darned shame it is going away.

It's fine being subjected to PvP. However people camping at loading points, and killing before anyone knows what is going on is not fine.

You might like the fact that players were exposed to PvP befor master, but the majority do not.
There is no change to PvP other that it now excludes those that do not wish to PvP.
You want PvP, go Overt with your friends.

Liani, as I said, the true PVP'ers need to help make the change. Kessel was changed becase of the griefers. Besides, no one sad this change was permanant. The Dev's put it on hold to work out a few issues, like spawn killing.

Gotta love the stereo-typing.
I'm non-PvP, butmany other PvE'ers have turned into a bunch of martyrists. It's quite amazing. You're making us look bad.

HL2 and Halo2 aren't even in the same genre of game. I play HL2 (source) all the time. Hasn't pulled me completely off SWG.
And WoW? I think not. EQII? Not from what I've heard. Not that SWG is that great
