every ship except the free starter ships has a hyperdrive.

your engine is your hyperdrive.

thx 4 the info, gawzeera.

But at the starport if I choose "Travel" with my starship it does not give me the option to travel out of the Corelian System.

Is there a difference between "hyperdrive" and "travel" ??

travel is borked at the moment so it will only allow you to travel to places you could normally go from tat(naboo, corellia, lok) so what i do when i need to get some where is launch into space(from starship term) and the press H and select the location i want to jump to.

some people will say thats the long way round and that there are other ways to get around the problem. but this way works for me and can be quite fun to.

the differance between hyperspace and travel is that if you select travel it will appear as if you just jumped on the bus(the old shutytle method before JTLS) hyperspace is the method I mentioned above where you go into space and then jump.

Just as a quick note, if you want to travel anywhere with no restrictions on planets try this...

1. Firstly go to the starship terminal and select your ship.

2. Walk over to the old ticket terminals and open it.

3. Press "ESC" to close the ticket terminal window. (you must press esc, closing it with the button will not work)

4. Click the "TRAVEL" button on your starship window and you should find that all the planets are now selectable.

This might sound long winded as you read it but when you try it it takes seconds, and there's always a ticket terminal near by.

The 'other' way mentioned is the following workaround:

At a starport (preferably a core world one on Naboo or Corellia to hedge all bets on planets), open the starship terminal and select your ship. Corellia is preferable as you can access all planets with the exception of Rori (Lok is selectable from the bugged menu), and Naboo is less preferable as Dath, Dant, and Talus are not accessible.

Then, before doing *anything else*, open the ticket window, and select your destination. Don't buy a ticket, just select your planet and starport destination, then escape out of the window by pressing (you guessed it) 'escape.'

Then hit 'travel' on the starship window, and you'll find you have FAR more destinations available than the four there are now.

It's a bit inconvenient, but it means two loading screens instead of four.

THANK YOU BOTH FOR THAT TERRIFIC TIP!!!

I was real miffed when JTL went live and I noticed this huge bug, IMHO. The other bug was not being able to color my flash speeder.

Thanks again for that travel workaround. It will save me considerable time running business errands now.

Hey folks,

I just finished my Tier2 missions on Talus and the Imp-Dude is telling me to move on to Yavin4 for further progress.

Ok, I got a TIE/IN but no Hyperdrive to get my ship from Talus/Corelia to Yavin4 - here are my question:

Can I equipe my TIE/IN with a Hyperdrive? If yes, where do I get that one? If no, how the hell should I get my TIE/IN to Yavin4?

thx for any help,
