A couple of nights agoi was in desperate need for lots. When i used my luxury yacht deed i noticed it remained so assumed that it was left so that you could regenerate the yacht at any time. I therefore decided to delete my yacht to get a free building lot for a harvester.
However upon deletion.... no free lots were recieved!
Im now left with 9 lots, 7 of which are holding a PA hall. This now means that instead of having 10 lots maximum.. i have 9.
As a master crafter... this is kind of a problem!
Just thought id warn you all not to delete it expecting to free up a lot.
The CSR responseI recieved didnt help me at all.
/bugged and ticketed.
Yah this does suck. So when I want to switch from the yacht to the decimator it will cost me another lot and I will be down to 8. Basically someone could nerf their lots without knowing it.

I'm fairly certain that's a bug. Be sure and report it in game.

And you might want to fill out a CSR ticket to get your lot back in the mean time.

Why would ship's take up lots? Lots are to conserve space on the ground.

Unfortunately i have ticketed it... didnt get an answer that helped. I was told to "send in a bug report".
Ive sent in a bug report already. I just want to highlight this issue so that maybe a dev will see it and answer.
I would like to regenerate my yacht again... but if i do im effectively capping myself at 8 lots.... not something i want!

I don't understand the whole idea behind MP ships taking up lots. So what if we get extra space to hold stuff? Is that REALLY such a bad thing? If their databases really can't handle an extra 75 x 3 x 100,000 little items, then perhaps it's time to call dell and get a new upgrade.

Multi-person ships are effectively flying houses, taking one lot and holding 75 items. I also understand that if you have more than one MP ship, only one can hold items. So presumably the second one (without items) won't use up another lot.

I thought the first MP Ship didn't take a lot if it was the yacht? I guess I must have read that wrong then?

Every multi-player ship you have will take up 1 lot. So if you have the yacht and then get the decimator, that is two lots gone.

Hmmmm.... Perhaps the Yacht could be exempt from this though? You know as a deal for the vets?

First off, your a Master crafter and you waste lots on a PA Hall? Man, I can throw down 2 small houses and get more space than a PA Hall holds and only use up 4 lots and the rest I can use on harvesters.
Second, I think that this lot thing for ships is a very poor excuse for the devs to be using with multiplayer ships. As was said, the reason for the restriction of lots from the original game was so that the server could not be overloaded with structures. This is NOT so for ships. Ships do not take up space on the ground, they only take up space in your datapad. They have already limited us to the number of ships that we can have, why take away a lot for a multiplayer ship anyway? Its a double lose situation for the player, especially since those specific ships will only allow you 75 items. That's not even worth a lot. Hell, a harvester can hold a lot and even a factory can hold 200 items if done correctly. I think this lot thing should be removed from the multiplayer ships.

Yeah.. but its kinda nessecary as im the PA leader
Secondly i have an alt account and that holds my harvs/factories... even then its not enough. The main issue is ive lost a whole lot which is VERY important to me. If i could get it back.. thats fine.. but its gone permanently! That is my annoyance here.
I dont mind the lot usage.. thats not my complaint. The problem is that after deleting my yacht ive not got the lot that it used back... hence im capped at 9 lots on this account. This is a major issue. This message is both a warning to people not to delete the yacht as youll lose a lot permanently (until the fix) and a sign to someone in power reading to help fix it
