Just wonderin, I think it would be cool having to get on board an enemy ship and hijack it or something.I'm talking about a huge ship here not like an ordinary X-wing or somethingsmall like that.Maybeyou could do that fora bounty hunter mission. It's always fun to see someone's face when they learn that their being hunted down. Another thing that sort of goes along with 'Hijacking'. I know I'm starting to sound sort of like a terrorist but, ramming the ship, a huge one remember, into another huge ship. But I guess thats sort of like killing yourself in the process lol.

I'm not looking for specific answer just others' reactions to these ideas.

Completely agree with the idea of docking on another ship, running onto it and running through the hallways to kill people and hijack/destroy the ship. Capitol ships should be like Faction Base HQ's now, you buy them and then you can project their course to pilot them, have tons of people manning turrets, have someone deciding the power distribution, etc. (of course there'd be defaults for all these functions in the case of noone being there to man them, since they would be cruising around 24/7), and you can dock on them and there are terminals, just like in a Faction Base HQ, you slice those terminals and the ship self-destructs in 10 minutes. Badda bing, badda boom, that's some high-quality Star Wars right now

thats a cool idea, the could seend in there group of commandos or tkm's while on the yt-1300 and have them kill the gunners, they then could pick up there friends right before the defenseless ship goes boom!

agreed. the ability to board a "crippled" (i.e. engines disabled/destroyed) immobile multi-player craft should be a possibility. As for single-seat fighters, our guild will be using the tried-and-true method of extortion. "Stand and Deliver!!!.....pay me x-amount of credits and you live" (or something to that effect) If they pay, they live, if they do not, they suck vacuum.

Sounds like a good idea for game based missions, although I doubt you can fly the ship away. It'd be nice if you could though. =)

The capitol ship idea seems interesting. Giant flying PA halls, which are slower than normal ships, but don't require constant piloting. Of course, there'd have to be some kind of alert if you were being approached by an enemy ship or if you were close to hitting something. It'd be pretty cool, sitting in your quarters decorating or something when suddenly the red alert blares, and everyone scrambles through the corridors to the turrets, engine room, or bridge to prepare for battle. Then, if the enemy gets past the shields and turrets their ships are stored, andthey appear in one of the more remote corridors, from which they begin an assault to attempt to reach the bridge controls. If they reach the bridge and hold it for more than 15 minutes, then all of the defenders in the ship are cloned at the nearest planet, in random cities, and the attackers then control the capitol ship.

Capitol ships should be craftable, but cost an extreme amount of resources so as to make them very rare. They shouldn't be storable, but should have a docking bay, where ships can be called from and landed into.

Except, there are a couple of problems. Like how a capitol ship would know who's an enemy and who's a friend, and what the item limit for a capitol ship should be, seeing as how it would be manned by multiple people.

Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word
itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words -
"mank" and "ind". What do these words mean ? It's a mystery, and that's
why so is mankind.

the other day i tried to do a little piracy. i was flying around naboo and came across a freighter that when scanned actually had some cargo. i decided to disable and dock with it. i got a system message stating that the cargo had been transferred to my ship but i didn't have anything extra in my inventory.

has anybody else tried this? is this a mistake and the cargo should have been there or can we really not commit acts of piracy?

Oh, very interesting. Every tim e I've tried to scan and/or dock with a freighter, I either get a no cargo message or a 'ship will not allow you to dock' message.

I'll have to try a few more freighters
