Thread: TIE DEFENDER *** PLEASE ***

Although i think it would be cool to see defenders out there, they're not really appropriate since in the SW timeline we haven't quite reached the point where they appear. According to the databank entry you linked to they appear around the time of the battle of Endor. Perhaps if there is an expansion or event featuring that battle they will appear.
Oh my. Are we going to go there? O.K. Let's start a list. I'll go first.
According to the timeline there are two Jedi (Luke and Yoda) and one Sith (Vader).
Now your turn.

Are you actually complaining when they stick to canon? I was just offereing a reason as to why it's not here. Why are you getting defensive?

No, I'm just saying that timeline and canon don't apply to SWG in the least. They both when out the window in November 2003.

And I'm saying that they have to save some ships that actually exist in the real SW universe for future expansions. The TIE Defender would fit nicely into a future expansion, and since it technically, according to the thrown out the window timeline, belongs at the battle of Endor, it would be appropriate to enter the SWG universe in an expansion that has that battle as a feature.
I like some of the SOE created ships, but I would not want to have to see an expansion totally populated by them.
Imagine in this expansion there are missions where you, the ace imp pilot, get to be part of the test squadron during the battle of Endor. Seems worth the wait to me. You may not agree, and thats ok.

HOLY CRAP! How could I forget about Palpy? I was going to take my 3 year old to see ROTS in May (as his firstmovie in a theater)but after seeing the teaser I ended up taking him to see The Incredibles instead. Paply looks very evil in this one...
