1. The graphics are awesome.
2. The zones are too small.
3. The lag - twitchinessduring flight is aggreviating even with a powerful computer and a cable modem.
4.The loot is more powerful than what can be crafted so Shipwrights are barely needed.
5.There is no condition on weapons/armor so the Shipwright population will soon dwindle like the Architects did.
6. To easy. Everyone is becoming Master Aces way too fast. It should have lasted alot longer.
In all, I like it but it will get old fast. So its back to the ground doing Imperial and Janta missions.

I'm quite happy with it. Sure, it's not perfect but I have fun with it. Battlefront lasted a few days for me and I paid, what, 40 bucks? I'm still playing JTL so the 30.00 was worth it for me.

How could it be more twitchy? What would you do to change that?

Not-so-twitchy because everyone does not have 20 ping. To keep everyone happy, needs to be done.. But we sure know it is not term based nor like ground game.
I don't buy this for a second. There are PvP twitch-based games with much faster action that have as it's top 10 players dial-up users on less-than-hotbox computers. (And they are mature adults who don't talk smack, so throw that argument out, too.)
Quake II and III come to mind as onlytwo examples. Players grapple-hooking from wall to wall so fast you can barely keep up on a 5Mbp connection, yet dial-up users, because of their uncanny timing ability, do extremely well. "My computer's too slow" or "I get lag" are just pathetic excuses forshort-comings.
I'm sure you can think of many other games.

I guess it could be fun if I could find someone else overt. Ppl don't like the random challenges much, it always leads to them sending me their stupid tells. I'm tired of fighting the AI, but no ones overt, and challenging others to duels I guess is considered rude, but rampant KSing (no ones seem to have been successful on mine yet) seems to be accepted. So yea so far this games stupid with very little PVP, now even less. If you like the sims online SWG is for you because thats where space is headed for too.

Personally, I think it would be worth paying around $10 to $15 for. No way is it worth $30 though.

Well, I initially liked it. Theyve definitely accomplished a lot, but there's a long way to go I think.
Havent played to much of it yet, so can't speak to too much of it.
It's definitely not all that exciting.
Actually, I have trouble finding motivation to play it. I won't likely maintain my subscription until there is real GCW content, and they revamp the entire space combat mission structure - I want to be engaged in major space combat that actually has consequences. I'd like to be an Imperial pilot stationed on an ISD (presummably player controlled?) and jump in-system to intercept rebels. I want a GENUINE STAR WARS EXPERIENCE!! And frankly, so far, this feels pretty much like a relatively boring, pointless, transparently-shallow experience with Star Wars skins. The space game feels a lot like the ground game: go to a mission "terminal," get your mission, go do it, get a little loot, payment, points, then rinse and repeat, ad infinitum.
But I still hold out hope. I hear Lucas Arts is supposed to be taking over SWG from SOE?? That would be great news from a gameplay and content POV I imagine.

I'm 4333 as Pilot now and believe $30 is fair. I was planning on retiring my account soon, but have stuck around a bit longer. Had the price been $40+ I wouldn't have bothered.
There are quite a few nice things I can say about it. After about ~20 hours played, I'm still looking forward to playing it tonight after work.
One big disappointment is not being able to fly down and land next to my house on Naboo. Also, no matter how hard I work I'll never be able to own an Imperial Star Destroyer.
While I'm whining, I'm still disappointed that the landgame of SWG itself is missing large-scale GCW battles like you see in the films, and that it isn't twitch-based combat. I bought Battlefront too, and that scratches some of the itch, but I do think SOE dropped the ball on what could have been the coolest game ever! A battle with 100+ ppl on a side would be stunning! Maybe we can pull this off in JTL?
My 2 cents.

I find that it is usually a poor/cheap video card that is the main cause of lag.

I do have to agree with that, I want nothing more in this game than that.
Its not the devs fault people grind pilot so fast, geez...in game for 2 days and people have 'master pilot'. Some people need to enjoy the game instead of master it so fast.
