there are 2 different stats on an engine that involve yaw pitch and roll. accleration rate andrate maximum. accel rate is usally a 3 digit number and the rate max is usually a 2 digit number. what do these 2 different stats mean?
thanks
thanks

Good question. As an engineer, this doesnt make much sense to me.

PITCH: To oscillate about a lateral axis so that the nose lifts or descends in relation to the tail.
So max is the maximum speed your ship will do this and acceleration is how fast your ship nwill take to hit that maximum. thus higher the better.

its just like how you speed up to your max ship speed. Thus the ship take less time to hit its maximum pitch turn rate.

This stat will soon be a moot point on engines, I know it doesn't answer your question, but those stats are determined by the chassis. After next patch I don't think they will be listed on the engine stats.

Think of it in terms of your car..
Acceleration Rate is how fast you can go from 0-60 (from 0 pitch to 60 pitch)
Pitch Rate Maximum is 60 (the maximum 'turn' rate)
(I think)

starson are u saying those stats on engines are meaningless as of right now? and chassis determine your pitch and roll etc?

i have an engine with max pitch rate at 65.9. i guess tops is 100 but not easy to get.

Yeah they say that is based on your chasis and are removing the stats.

Yep, not sure if it was done today, or going to be done tommorow, but I did read it today...some where....

The number assigned to those engine rates is a modifier to your chasis's stat isnt it? Why would they totally remove it if both your chasis and your engines rates factor in to the final true amount? That just doesnt seem right me.
