let's say I have a droid complexity +3/beserk +2 tape and want the beserk to stick. I know that if I drop a +4 droid complexity into the item first that the beserk will stick, but what if I drop a +3 droid complexity tape first, will that do the trick as well so when I drop the multi mod tape in the beserk +2 will stick? Please only answer if you have actually done this yourself. The tape I'm trying to use if quite valuable so I can't afford to screw it up.

It will work yes. To cancel out an unwanted Mod u need to put in an even OR higher mod first:
so if u have an AA with
+3 droid
+2 warcry
u can put it in an piece of armor that
already has
+3 or higher droid complexity on it and the warcry will stick.
Good luck
