Need some advice on how to get hold of mollusk harvestors. I've heard it's through some sort of quest on tatooine?

theres an npc in the middle of anchorhead that gives a quest for the shellfish harvesting tool schematic. dont remember the cert required, most likely some form of artisan. Also have already made ones on a couple of my vendors...

Tat doesn't seem to be the best environment for snails but seriously, there is a harvester for mollusks?

well to not write a totally pointless thread, I found this here on SWGcraft.com:

"Well, you have to first actually get the schematic It's a quest item from two places on Tatooine. One is from the guy by the water vaporator in Anchorhead, in the little ravine in town. His is actually harder, but only two parts. The other is from a person in Wayfar, a few more steps, but easier to accomplish. Forget her exact name, but she's on the east side of the town."

It's just a tool. You stand in shallow water and click the tool and it harvests either mollusks or crustaceans - I believe you can do this once every 10 seconds. They go in your inventory in stacks of 2-10 units and do not auto-stack (like eggs) but can be stacked manually. Doing it afk with a macro results in a full inventory rather quickly.

Tedious work, but easy to use - no cert required to use it.

Mollusks are used by BE's to make /cover enhancers, but I don't think anyone needs crustaceans specifically anymore. Both are considered 'meats' and can be used as a 'creature food' in any schematic calling for it.

There are two ways to get the Shellfish Harvesting Tool Schematic. As mentioned one is the NPC quests in Anchorhead, the other is a series of quests from an NPC in Wayfar.

Rakir Banai in Wayfar near Jabba's Palace gives you four missions. His final mission reward includes the schematic for the Shellfish Harvestor Tool.

Of the two I found Rakir' missions to be easier but take longer.

also if your on kauri I can sell ya one, or as many as you may desire I have a few crates of them i think its a master artisan schematic that you gain from the anchorhead quest. this is for any who may read this thread as the person who started the topic is NOT on kauri. so dont go flaming me for not seeing what server hes on.

One more question about the schematic:

Once an artisan learns it, do they keep it or is it single use? (I know the last post said about crates, but for all I know you were able to make your own one off schematic based on that schematic). OR, do I have to pick an artisan I really like and would like to bestow with this schematic?

Permanent Use Schematic. I've made a couple dozen tools since I learned it.

i dont recal honestly i belive it was a limited use schematic with 2 uses but dont quote me on that, either way it was NOT like so many of the new limited use schems that wont let you create a manufacturing schematic
