Thread: Creature Recycler and Ore Recycler built on Bria (info and screenshot)

I'm probably not the first person to build one, so that is not the intent of this post. However, I was hoping to be the first person to have recycled animal horns, but that didn't work. If anybody is interested in seeing what it looks like, and what the recycled products look like, I have them on display in my house on Alacio Island, Naboo (Bria) at -1385 7 (About 180M north of the shuttleport). For those of you who can't, or don't care to see it, here are the results of recycling:

Stats are 200 across the board.

Meat = Processed Meat (same graphic)
Bone = Ground Bones (same graphic)
Hide = Synthesized Hides (uses the old container graphic, not the new one)
Fish = Processed Seafood (didn't try mollusk or crustation, same graphic as always)
Milk = Homogenized Milk (same graphic)

I had some Horn from Dathomir (Dothomir) and Yavin, but when I selected "Horn" from the drop down and tried to convert it, I got the message, "This processor is set to recycle horn resources. You may need another type of processor for the resource you are trying to use, or you may try a different setting." Bahh! I was hoping to have, at least for a few days, an item completely unique to SWG - even if it was completely useless/worthless.

Here is a screenshot.

Update: Just built the Ore Recycler and put it in the house along with examples of the recycled resources if you want to drop by and take a look. It recycles ore into two different types (generic Siliclastic and Igneous) and Gemstone into a generic Gemstone that works in small and large glasses, but does not work for casks. Sorry chefs

I should have a completed chemical recycler soon, I'll update this post when it is built.

Interesting. That's not the nifty, new graphic featured here.

You are correct. I'm logged off right now, but I have learned the schematics for the other recyclers and they don't look like those pictures either. Maybe one of them does, but I know some of them have different graphics than what is shown in your link.

"Fish = Processed Seafood (didn't try mollusk or crustation, same graphic as always)"

Can you use the "Processed Seafood" in Fish and Mollusk slots?

Just found out eggs get converted to "Processed Meat".... what is this thing good for?

Obviously, not for converting resources to fill an enhanced myoflex treatment schematic.

Egg has been a substitute for generic meat from the beginning, as best I can tell. But there are only a handful of schematics that require egg. Which is a darn good thing.

BEs can use these things to convert odds and ends of meat and egg and milk into stuff to make critters out of (where the quality of the meat or flora is irrelvant to the end product), but I woudn't use them for schematics that can be experimented on to make the end product better.

That's a good question. I haven't done any crafting to see which processed resources can be used in which schematics. I just made the thing, converted the resources described above, took a screenshot, and made the post. As others have said, even if it could be used, the low stats would negate any desire to do so. It seems like this recycler is only good things that don't require experimentation such as milk (bantha butter), hides/bone (Scouts/Ranger camps and traps), Tailors (Hides), and Architects (Hides). Am I forgetting anybody?

Oddly enough, you can experiement on the Creature Recycler itself while crafting it. However, the bubble bars don't fill in after each experimentation and there is no number that increases. The only thing that I recall that increases is the complexity, but I can't remember for sure. In other words, you start with an empty "bubble" bar, add 5 points, hit experiment, and get an amazing success - you still have an empty bubble bar and nothing to show for it.

It's great for tailors since resource quality doesn't matter and one big stack of hide is much, much better than 20 small stacks of hide. Now, to find three more needles (spinner blades) in a haystack.

If you put meat into it, does it come out labled "SPAM"?

"Obviously, not for converting resources to fill an enhanced myoflex treatment schematic."

Hahaha, that's what I wanted it for. I even started buying stacks of eggs from the bazaar

Oh and by the way, I believe fish can be used for "generic meat slots" too along with mollusk and crustacean, but they get processed into seafood.

Eggs are eggs, not meat.... oof

just had ours made on sunday and we also tried to recycle horn and did nothing.

I'd like to know why it gets chewed down to 200 flat across the boards.

and why can you put others and make mixture of items!

spent so much time looking for these items to put together!

I made one too on Starsider as I think it is the most useful of the recyclers for rangers/scouts wandering in the wild. The other 4 I have yet to see their usefulness. Maybe there should be some schematics that require ressources that have been processed that could give some incentives to build them....
