As a day one veteran, (well day twoif you want to get technical) I have to say that the "Rewards" program has been a real disappointment. My family uses three accounts. That is $540 dollars per year for all three accounts. I am not complaining, about the price. All three accounts have been active for every moment since day 2 up and continue to be to this day.
After 6 months of continues time, you are rewarded with a Yacht. I love my Soro Suub! Don't get me wrong, it is a really great reward, but....
Do we have any incentive to keep our accounts active as the CU is being worked out? Sure playing the game in and of itself is a reward, but heck why not just cancel and come back in a few months when things that are "in the works" are reality? We have all played just about every profession, we have done every mission, theme park and dungeon. Our houses and accounts are loaded with items and credits....
Veteran rewards are a way of saying thank you to the soild loyal players such as myself and my family, why is it that the system sits on the back burner? Please take my words into consideration and think about putting some rewards into the system before we lose hope.
Rewards are like a pay raise, they are not something that you expect or demand, rather they are a way of saying thank you to the people that have show loyalty and respect. With the ability to re-start an account up to ayear after canceling, rewarding people for keeping an active account is really something that should be a PRIORITY.

Good post, I'm a first week European release player and I have to agree with all you say. I think there should be something to say "Thanks for sticking with us". First on 6 months, then on a year and so on. I also think that whatever it is it should be untradeable so that they mean something to have them.
Anyone got any suggestionjs of what the rewards could be?

I really hope more veteran rewards do come in soon. The SoroSuub is great and all, but Veterans need more. House decorations, vehicles, new space ships, a cape, a few extra skill points, ect...

Ummm... Sorry, you lost me on the "After 6 months of continues time, you are rewarded with a Yacht.". I had to pay $24.99 USD for me to use my SoroSuub, and I had to surrender 1 player lot. Maybe I'm mistaken, I thought rewards didn't cost anything.

ImaTwilek - If your account was active for 6 months, you are rewarded with the yacht. It does not matter if you are paying for a full access account or just a SWG account, as long as it is running for 6 months strait. Being that the reward provides storage that does not cost any maintainance, it is a pretty nice reward and a fair trade off for one lot.I do agree however, that if you are a Crafterand need your slots for harvesters then it really sucks as a reward because you can not use it.
I am going to be really honest here, the yacht is a mixture of a bribe and a reward. I don't have a problem with that because I respect the fact that the game we so love has to be profitable to remain viable, but at the same timethe fact remains that if you didnot buy JTL then youhave not recieved any reward.Even if you have been here since day one.

The speeder is not a Veteran Reward. It is a pre-order reward, again a mixture of a bribe and a reward to get folks to pre-order JTL. You could have had an account for 1 day and if you pre-ordered you where able to get the speeder. Again, I have no problem with this because getting a good pre-order count is good business and I want SWG to be around a loooooong time!
- Some rewards I would really like to see
- Some rewards I would really like to see
- A Vader Meditation chamber
- A"Jedi" training droid with a blast shield helm.
-A working Chess Table

Shouldn't we all. ![]()
But in all seriousness, I am glad we are talking about this, and I agree we need to see something better than what we have seen so far.

I like feeling loved.
My Yacht made me feel loved.
But I agree. Vets who have been around deserve rewards (I've only been here since May of '04)

There are other ways to make your customers feel loved than giving them an in game item.
