Ok...I know this is a MMOG and interracting with other players is encouraged. But it is not working for me. Other players ignore me even when I offer money.
So I need a way to heal wounds I have without having to rely on PC doctors. I am very low level, have both artisan and novice medic skills. I cant afford a medical droid obviously. Any other recourse?

Your best choice is probably to take up novice medic yourself and use woundpack Bs (I think you can use them at medic) and heal yourself.
Until/unless you can afford a medic droid, this healing will still be restricted to camps and med centres.
Most players in this game have novice medic as well as everything else - if only to heal themselves if they get attacked.
*edit - Just for future reference by the way, this would probably have been better off in the Game Guides forum*

This question would be more appropriatly handled by the Medic or Doctor forums instead of "Itemsand Loot" however here is a quick answer.
With novice medic you should be fine. If you don't have a wound kit then /tendwound _____ self till your all healed up, the blank is for the specific wound you wish to treat. Treating wounds this way will of course incure mind wounds which you can heal by going to watch a dancer or listen to a musician.
If you do have the appropriate wound packs which are easy enough to purchase off of the bazaar then the command /healwound _____ self will be what you use and you don't get any mind wounds then.
Health and Action pool wounds can be healed inside a medical center, a camp or with a medical droid. Medical droids are fairly cheap, you can get a basic one from the bazaar for 2-3k credits on Starsider.
All Mind pool wound can only be healed inside a Hotel, Cantina or Theatre.

Sit in a med center in an NPC city for a few hours, i think that VERY slowly heals all wounds exept the mind ones

It works everywhere...in or out of cities. You heal everything but wounds anywhere. I needed to know how to heal wounds, because they are permanent damage.
Mosati, thank you for the thorough explanation. Its a shame this wasnt included in the manuel, where it should be.

You heal BF by watching dancers or listening to musicians.
You heal wounds by going to a medic/Doc and having them healed or sitting in a hospital

Medcenter "natural healing" affects Mind wounds as well. It heals something like 10 wounds to every stat every five or ten minutes, so it is pretty slow. Camps also heal wounds over time, but at a reduced rate (tied to their medical rating, IIRC). Medcenters do not naturally heal BF, the only way to heal that is watching an entertainer.

Probably not practical, but if you can find a Squad Leader/Teras Kasi and group with her, she can distribute the wounds between the two of you and then meditate them off, repeating as necessary until you are almost completely healed.

Wow...I did not know that. Ah well...if I have medic now I might as well use it. It's paid for.
I tried it and it worked perfect. "/tendwound self" randomly heals all health/action wounds. Mine healed between 1 and 20 points a try, with one try every 15 seconds allowed.
Is there some kind of online database with information like this? None of the newbie guides explain it, and I doubt the in-game help could be more cryptic if Sony tried.
Mind wounds are the easy part...in the Cornet Canteena, there are ALWAYS a minimum of 5 AFK dancers there....in addition to about 5-15 other PC entertainers. I took Dancing anyway, because it gives me somthing to do if I am bored or waiting on somthing, heh heh.
Thanks for all the input. It helped a lot. I will post in the appropriate forum next time.

your best bet is the profession forums for the the FAQs, or go to 3rd party sites like allakhazam. I agree, SOE documentation isa misnomer. I beleive SOE figures trial and error is 'content'.

There are also the Jedi with the Master Healer template. It's pretty cool, they heal all wounds and battle fatigue too =P
