I know its supposed to read viewscreens - but I was under the impression that the pic printers used broken viewscreens and that the reader would "read" a broken one. How does it work?

It's a part of the viewscreen printer kit. Place a paint cartridge, blank canvas, viewscreen tech. reader, paint disperser, and (grey) broken viewscreen and it gives you a random painting.

So, where do you find all of those components? I have killed hundreds of thugs of various types and only have received the "Paint Kit" and "Broken Viewscreen Reader".

I would like to craft a few of these kits.

You can find almost all the rest of the kit from sleemo's on Talus.

back to my original post - I drag the readers to the printer, but it doesn't accept them. Do they need to be inserted in a particular order?
