This is exactly the problem I have. Typically I hunt with a trusted few and there are no problems. As we've become more successful we have accumulated "tag alongs", I am sure the majority of them are honest....but it doesn't stop the doubts. This was a nice feature when it was in place....they probably removed it to cut down on the lag. I am sure the server having to sync and send all those messages to the appropriate parties must have a performance impact.

I believe that most people are running loot macro's to try to get the loot first, soif the reason was lag it had the opposite effect since now more people will/do run a macro which pounds the server and produces performance problems.

A better system is the EQ2 system of lottery looting or, even just an option to restrict looting to the leader or a designated group member. This would improve things because people would stop running the damn loot macros as they could not loot the corpse anyway. This can only improve server performance and make grouping more fun and less of an anxiety attack lol

A single individual having loot rights is definately the way to go.
