Thread: How I got 4 Heating Elements (for Metal Smelting Machine) in 90 minutes. Will work with other NPCs!

Well, I didn't waste my time at the Binyate POI thats for sure.

What I did was run 4,700c missions all in one single direction from a Player City Mission Terminal. Due to the layout of the geography in this PC, I took only misisons to the north, meaning, the land flying out of this town wasn't very obstructed by houses and once I got out of the city limits there were no deep valleys.

I did the LARGE Binyate Chief Missions, they were Level 25 and 4,600 to 4,700 credits. Once I did the mission, killed the Chief, the Swindler, and the 1 to 2 Pirates, I looted all the NPCS and (IMPORTANT) didn't kill the mission ending lair, I ABORTED this mission in my datapad, and went onto my 2nd mission. What this will do is LEAVE the camp that you should destroy to collect your mission, and the Binyate Pirates will RE-SPAWN, thus, giving you more Pirate NPC's to loot.

If you take your time at the missions terminals, refresh it so you always take missions in one of the 4 main directions, North, South, East, West, and maybe a new to the side directions say, NE and/or NW, what will happen is you will get numerous spawns of Chiefs, Swindlers and Pirates all over the place. As you fly to new missions, you'll run across old missions and the entire landscape will be filled with extra Pirates to kill.

I looted all of my Heating Elements off the Pirates. Didn't get much of anything from the Captains or Swindlers. I've found this aborting mission method to work quite well getting any of 8 different paintings from the Hutt Exploration NPC's on Yavin IV.

Give it a try after the server restart, the key is to get missions all over the place in one general area that will respawn as you keep getting new mission spawn points placed onto the ground.

you do not have to abort ythe mission. just drive 500m or so away, and back. works 3 times

This is a better method because you konw you're not beating on someone else's mission (assuming you care)

I do this myself, hop back and forth between my 2 missions and then collect the lair on the last trip.

also a great way to earn faction for Jabba, Valarian, Rebel, Imperial, etc on the ground

you canrespawn a lair3 times bydriving away from it 350m or so. On the 4th time it will say mission incomplete and disappear.

You only need to be 150m away for a minute or two to respawn it. So I usually try to get my missions 200-400m apart. If they are only 100m apart you can still work it by staying on the outskirts of one of the missions so you are 150m from one and 50m from the one you are doing.

They will only respawn 3 times. On the fourth time you will get mission failed. When doing GCW faction missions it's best to kill the base on the third clearing to get the mission reward faction, but when going for loot it's quicker to just abort the mission.

Edit: One way you can tell if you are far enough away is if the flag disappears from your view. (Or the box representing it on the radar disappears.)

Ah yes, the old tap the lair method, however with a twist.

The original poster is 110% dead nuts on about how to really get the landscape filled with NPC's. The rest of the people who chimed in that it only works 3 times are incorrect. IF YOU KEEP AN ACTIVE MISSION the lair will poof on the third trip back, however if you do it twice and then ABORT the mission, the lairs will repopulate two more times, thus doubling the amount of NPC love to be had.

I like to set waypoints to my original mission spawns so that I can go right to them on my 4th or fifth go round. Do this for 2 hours and you'll have looted hundreds of NPC's.
