To celebrate the new forum, here is one idea i have long thought might be useful if implemented.

For most of us, you have at some points looted alot of +1 SEA (Skill Enhancing Attachments) and either put them on bizaar, or destroyed them. What if there was an alternative?

Basic Concept: You can synthesize a new SEA by taking all your useless items to the junk dealer.

Creating A New SingleStat Skill Mod

To start out, you will be able to sythesize mods with can have +5,10,15,+20, +25. There would be a conversion ratio (Ah, you didnt think it would be as simple as just adding up +1's, lol). The conversion ratio could vary , but a nice 2:1 ratio sounds ok to me. So to create that +5 Carbine Speed tape you need to cap your speed, you would need 10 +1 speed tapes. Get the idea?

Creating A Multi Stat Skill Mod

For those advanced players, that want to have the best gear , this would be a great benefit to maxmize SEA's on your armor/clothing. This would follow the same process As mentioned above but with a few slight changes. For one you can now have up to 3 stats on a single skill mod. AND THEY WILL ALL WORK. However the tradeoff for doing this, is that now the conversion ratio jumps to 3:1.Alot more work required, but well worth the effort.

Well that's the basic idea. I know some will say this will kill the loot market , and people wont pay millions for overpriced stuff. I say good. It shouldnt just be the elite/rich that enjoy the benefit of Skill enhancing attachments that make their profession better. This is never truer then for crafters. Getting to be a 12pt crafter can cost you upwards of 30mil depending on your profession. Tocompete on even ground it's really necessary to eventually be that 12 pt crafter eventually.

I belive the loot hunters would still have a market, and if anything they might have a bigger market People will go to them and special order certain skill mods, as if this system were intiated, im sure thesurplus tapes would be used immediately. So there would be a new need for looting SEA's.

It's a good idea, but the loot farmers would burn a digital cross on your lawn.

I'm just afraid the introduction of these short term stims means that the days of SEAs might be numbered.

All it'd take to invalidate all current SEAs would be one simple change in the wording and the code that recognizes that wording.

Also, the Devs need to remove the broken and blank SEAs before anything.

The fact that they "revamped loot" without taking these out make me think they really don't give a rat's ass.

How many -1 sea's does it take?
