i have the datapad housing thing, and i put in the battery, broken datapad, connections, back light, and it doesnt recognize that i put something in (still says 0/5) and it says 0/5 but whats the 5th thing if it only asks for those items. I also tried putting another battery in and it ate it and still doesnt recognize it. any help guys?

It's bugged, make sure you put the datapad in last, so start over. I fixed one and inserted a disk that I fixed using the disk burner loot. What did I get for all my trouble some stupid thing called the flail manifesto, that reads like a law paper. What can i do with it I have no clue seems like a big waste of time.

The point of the whole thing is to turn corrupt datadisks and boken datapads into "flavor fiction". I got one called "The Journal of Dr. Kildaar" (or such). An almost interesting read but no long term value.

ALL loot kits are bugged in two ways...I have had the second oneconfirmed by a CSR.

1) You need to put the "Broken...." item in last, or it won't work.

2) You need to put all the parts in during one sitting. Placing 2 items in, then logging for the night, then placing the other 2 items in the next day and it won't work. I haven't risked trying it yet after shuttling, but the rule of thumb is to loot all the parts you need before you start making the kit up..

i wouldnt bother too much fixing datapads and corrupted disks as these can be looted completed....
