Thread: Flood of CA/AA's = Unstable Economy + Loot Campers

One thing that I find that is lowering the loot economy is all of the people flooding the bazaar with the new loot. I was selling my Cargo and Bio-Engineer posters steadily at 100k each until people started flooding the bazaar with a couple dozen of all the common posters for only 6k. For a while i tried buying them all up to get them off there but people were putting too many on and i couldn't do anything about it. I tried talking to some of them but they seem to think because they know where to find them and its so easy why should they charge more. I tried to explain that it doesn't matter how easy it is to get it, a lot of loot is super easy to get but its about "if" people know where to get it. A lot of people don't spend time doing quests or cruising the forums for quests locations and such. That is why loot sells for a lot, its anon-craftable therefore it is worth whatever someone will pay for it. I also explained that they were ruining the business for all the other loot vendors trying to make a living and they didn't care about that either. I think it would help a lot more if people would take this into consideration the loot econ would boost a little more.
Well, you sure have plenty negitive things to say about my suggestions regarding a solution to this matter. I assume you dont have any yourself then? Or do you simply not see small groups of individuals organizing to keep others from content and monopolizing that content in a direct violation of the EULA we all agree to when logging on as a problem?

I don't see you advocating booting people for AFKing meatlumps?
No thats right, you dont. Why? Because the AFK business in itself is being dealt with, for starters. Secondly, because there is a rather large number of them, they are fairly easy to find, and if you can take them on, chances are you can take missions for the same, not for Nyax.
Don't we have enough problems with CSRs being able to help everyone without becoming your mommy? Get some buddies together and go outdamage them. If you want the loot you should not rely on the CSRs or Devs to make your templates.
Perhaps I dint make it clear. On my server for example, a particular group has 5-10+ members camping one POI server-up to server-down with heavily Krayted weapons and are throwing out damages in excess of 5k. I would need a full group of 20to out do them. They can afford this becaus they are gaining so much high level loot that replacing the weapons is barely a scratch in the income for the day .
If you actually read posts before finding 1 item you dont like in them and one-starring them as you have done here, you might see that that was one of several suggestions made out of frustration with the situation. he CSRs are not there to babysit. But they are there to deal with problems, including Griefing, which this activity happens to fall under due to the verbal attitudes of this particular crew.
Ifyou think you need a Jedi to get it, I suggest you visit the village and start the grind.
So, your answer to this is that I should give up a viable template for taking on a challenge like this, for a template I dont want and that isnt any better in outdamaging these people? Not to mention gaining visibility? And you even suggest I grind?!
This is the very attitude we are dealing with at these POIs right now. Sounds an awful lot like you are defending your own activities here...

I think the Devs knew what they were doing, and they are deflating the economy.
Exactly. Camping won't pay the same it used to pay. Only, I believe it's a temporary fix. A more permanent fix deals with the problem of the actual "camper" not the effect said camping has on the economy alone. A complete gaming experince allows for each player to have a chance at accomplishing some of these in game missions either with a small group or solo (even if they get their butts kicked!
