It is gated by game mechanics. It would have been a lot easier to code loot rights as who ever shoots first gets the loot then keeping track of every groups damage and then awarding rights to the group with the highest damage.

POI's are for everyone. Just because they're camped doesn't make it theirs, doesn't make it yours either. Everyone can compete, not everyone wins. Get a bigger group, what makes it anyone’s is damage, that is the game mechanics.

And your 5 star one star games, doesn’t bother me that much so one star away. I’ve been around long enough to know that in the end, populist arguments are usually the most destructive. Often they’re quite Quixotic.

5 star 1 star games? not me pal, i've never 1 starred anyone.


also the get a bigger group argument is a false one, the highest damaging individual gets the looting rights, if he's in a group they all get looting rights, if the camper is using a multi-million cred weapon he gets the looting rights, the only way to beat him is for one of the group members to out damage him, the groups damage is not a combined total.



1 person with exceptional weapon beats 20 in a group using standard weapons every time.

The issue is the fact that the system is broke , has been broke for

a long time .Both sides think they are right when the real solution is

about the strong division of loot avalible to all players and not being

catered to the pvp players as a reward for their template and punishment

to the pve player who are masters but cant outdamage someone else.



The solution to nyax is to make the higher attachements drop off of

random npc spawns all over the galaxies so eveyone has an equal

oppertunity to enjoy it without haveing to make someone else rich and

too be able to enjoy the fruits of their own labor.


Face it the majority of the loot is crap 80 % of the lootable stuff is deleted

becuase its so useless. Only recently have they started to introduce

some changes however I feel like a lower end player should have a decent

reward too not just a useless locked container cdef clothes with out mods

they too shouldhave a rare uber aa or ca drop occasionally

not in my experience, the last time i went to nyax ( and it was the last time i won't bother again) me and 2 guildies decided we'd give it a try, we fought our way down and got to an empty room so we waited for him to spawn.


a while later we saw a guy load in right across from where nyax spawns, but we think no problem we have 2 master riflemen and a master swordsman, a minute or so later nyax spawns (nothing wrong with the campers spawn timer).


after the fight was over the guy who loaded in with hismulti-million cred rifleloots and laughs in our faces and logs out in his favourite spot.


what i said about group damage was told to me by people who know about this stuff so i tend to believe it on the strength of what i have experienced myself.


its the only thing that makes sense to me to explain how 1 player can outdamage a group of 3 including 2 m.rifles and 1 m.swords.

1 poi a day or whatever. however i would prefer instanced

I've highlighted the part of your post that will make a difference in this situation.



While the CSRs dont consider loot camping wrong, they do consider the loot camper who Flaunts it a griefer. When you go to the POI spawns if this happens again do /report (camper) or submit a Harassment Ticket on the Individual.


Another thing that can be done is what my guild on flurry did. While it does take a great number of people working together, we had 3-5 M. Rifles, 3-5 M. Swords and as many others as we could amoung our guild and those we were allied with on the server. Every Nyax spawn or what ever spawn it was we showed up or someone in the guild showed up, and eventyally we were always outdammaging the POI camper, and they left.


Make the choice to retake your server. The CSRs wont always help us with our problems, but in most cases there is something we can do to help ourselves.If you are sick of the POI campers do something to change it. It can be done, but it takes a lot of will and determination to do so. If you dont like the Borgle Bat Cave campers go in early and grab the loots first. If you dont like the Nyax campers, get groups together and yes it may take 20 people to outdammage the 1-3 who camp but it can be done. If we make a concious effort to take the servers back then we will succeed in sending the message that the campers wont be accepted.

Uber loot is NOT for everyone.


you can go and visit nyax all you want but if you want to kill him and gain loot rights to his uber loot then you'll have to earn it.


I don't like the idea of easy static npc spawns that drop uber loot either but theres no sharing among strangers (unless you make friends though its hard to trust a stranger without group messages) when it comes to uber loot. And when it comes from a static spawn then that means competition.

I would like to chime in on the out-damaging issue. I haven't really gone to a lot of POIs. I have been spending a lot of time training-up for my Master Pistoleer and Ranger Template and living out my character. I am just 2 spots from Master Pistoleer and bit more on my Master Ranger. I love the template because it suits my character. However, I have to say that with regard to damage, I know the TKMs always out-damage me. When I have hunted with a guild-mate that is a TK they have brought down our prey in a fraction of the time it takes me to bring down the creature with my pistols (even with the combat macros I have written). I know the skill:damage ratio does seem to favor more melee combat. I know I have ready many threads regarding this and am unsure if this will ever change. I know it should in order to bring the game into a more immersive alignment with true Star Wars Content. Most of Star Wars has been "ranged" combat outside of story lines involving Jedi.

However, in spite of the limitations I have on my character, I still play the game and use my toon's abilities as best as I can. I plan to do more quests and POIs once I have finished leveling my character more. One thought I have about campers, what is wrong with going up to those campers and merely saying, "Hey, I would like to try my hand at getting some of this loot too. Can I join your group or maybe you can give me a shot?" That technique may not ultimately work but I haven't heard anyone mention they'd even try.

Actually I have tried that approach, and it is usually met by silence. You have to realize, the person that tends to camp a spawn is the same person that has the "I win"mindset, and feels that their $15 a month pays for stepping on others peoples gaming experience. And btw, pistoleer is very low on the loot food-chain FYI. TKs can out-damage you, speed-capped swords can out-damage them, master rifles can out-damage master swords, and beware of any decent loot-camping Jedi, cause they can out-damage em all with the right LS and skills.


And I'll add to my earlier post by saying (since the loot-wh0res out there get offended at the idea that someone else might actually be able to earn their own loot and not have to pay the farmer millions for it...), that they should reset all in-game POI spawns to once-a-day and allow solos or groups to take an instanced version of that POI up to 3 times a day, after completing a side-quest kind of task (its been done before with the Vette). This would still keep the real "phat-lewt" in the game in the hands of all the players that have a template that can handle it, and take it out of the hands of the "players" (using that term very loosely) that forsake any kind of content, and in fact detract from other players content by monopolizing the loot to the very best of their ability.


Its sad that a game has become so much work, you have to choose a template you might not even like just to have any chance of getting loot, spend millions on it just to compete for a slim chance to get something that you may get something cool to sell or use, all because some players idea of "fun", is a style of gameplay that lessens everyone elses' gameplay options. After all, you can only do the theme parks once each, and the other POIs are alright to do once or twice, but its really the loot that makes it fun and keeps you coming back for more.

what you're saying is that you have as muchright to nyax's uber loot as anybody but your problem is that you don't think you need to earn it for some reason. It UBER LOOT. This uber loot is at a static spawn. If you want more opportunity to get uber loot without being an elite combatant and spending millions on mods and weapons then find a group and go kill non-static spawns like elders and krayts.

I am an elite combat prof master and have spent millions on attachments and weapons. I do kill steal from the obnoxious tools in the game that feel it is their right to camp a loot spot like Nyax. And it's a failing of the devs that they make Nyax (a very easily soloable spawn and POI) drop better and more often than Krayts, NS, and Geo combined, as well as the fact that he is by far the best campable option in the game because he causes no armor or weapon wear whatsoever and has a very easy spawn timer. But I watch people shuffle in and shuffle out wearied by the garbage people like you are spewing, frustrated with the game, and a "game" that is work enough as it is shouldn't be that dis-heartening to someone who wants to play it, not "pwn" it.. Maybe they should make your obvious "job" a little harder and up Nyaxs' difficulty to around the level of the new crackdown ST spawns, just to make it a little more in line with the rest of the game.


By the way, 1 star me all you like, doesn't phase me in the least

I don't buy it. When was the last time you killed nyax with noone around and left (after the last patch where he now spawns every 15-20min)?
