Am I the only Weaponsmith that is concerned that the Scythe Blade Schematic mission (Hedon Istee - Mos Espa) is the only way to get a Scythe Blade Schematic??? Wouldn't it be nice if this mission was repeatable??????
The schematic only allows for 2 uses and requires identical Geo Sword Cores. If you're lucky and can loot 7 identical cubes and 7 identical solidifying agent, the most Geo Sword Core pairs you can make is 3, then you have to burn one set of these if you try for a schematic. This ends up only getting you 2 Scythe Blades that can be sold. Works the same with looted Geo Sword Cores. you have to have at least 6 identicals to make a schem that will yield 2 blades. As the looted cores aren't as good as the ones I canmake,I don't really want to make the Blades with looted cores. SinceI can only get 2 uses per schematic, how am Iexpected to even think about meeting the huge demand for the Blades???
I think it would be really nice if the mission to get the schematic was repeatable. If not, then at least make the schematic available as a loot. I've seen way too manyBlue and Orange Rug parts and Sculpture pieces to last me a lifetime.......why can't we loot the Scythe Blade Schems???????
Also, wouldnt it be nice if the blades could be made with either a Geo Sword Core, reg core or, at a minimum, and Advanced Sword Core???? It sure would give usthe ability tomake a lot more of the blades. Sure the damage might not be as high as a Geo Sword Core Blade, but I constantly have players asking me to make them Scythe Blades. At least with lower damage Blades, they could be used for grinding. Unfortunately, I as well as all of my friends have run the Blade mission, and I can't seem to find them anymore.
There are already at least 2 schematics that can be repeatedly obtained....How many Featherweight FWG5 Schems are out there?How many Geo DXR-6B schematics are out there. I have so many of both of those, I only take them if they are given to me.....I sure wouldn't pay for one.
Please add to this thread.....maybe if we get enough interest, the Devs will help us out.

It is repeatable. You can reset all planetary quests once, so a single toon can get 2 copies of the schematic.
I'm not worried about them running out. They can easily put more ways to get them in game and supposedly, after the CU, the scythe is going to be more inline with the hack for damage and speed range. And the hack is in endless supply.

Ihave 2 scythe blades and paid a grand total of 75k, now ahazi's economy is a little out of wack..but these are nice pvp scythes...
one is (unpupped) 300 dmg 2.0 speed the other is 306 dmg and 2.0 speed.... now for only paying that much gives me the idea Ahazi is not in demand of scythes, however it sounds as if you're server is, my best guess... it comes down to the amount of swordsman on a server. I have been on a few different servers and Ahazi seems the most PVP active and swordsman isn't much of a pvp profession unless you have other trees to stack the defenses, that would also explain the lack of swordsman...the decrease in price of scythe blades (especially cause im still another 40k combat xp til i can use one lol).

I looted the "Ancient Treasure Map" or whatever its called of nyax one time, so i guess they drop from NPC's to...maybe people just destroy em when they get them cause they figure they are crap like the other maps

Maybe they should consider setting a reset on the mission say after 6 months you can do again. That seems like a way to make sure availability would still be out there but not overflowing. One thing to keep in mind though, sworsdsmen is the be all right now it may not be as popular after the CU (who really knows at this point). Anywho.... I like the idea after a certain time persion has passed you can do a mission like this over again or add the map to teh high end content loot table.

im really looking for a scythe blade... but not wanting to pay millions and get one with damage of 300 o_O?
when my power hammer does more damage(100-400 from memory)with only 4 or so speed?

I picked up my first Scythe cheap. Spd about 2.2. Max damage just over 300. Only cost me 250k.
Since then I have been lucky and had more. Some excellent slices too. Think the best is bax 420-440. With a speed of about 2.5.

i have 3 scythes on my swordsman ... i have always preferred the look of the exe hack tho ... but i do agree ... all other weapon scematics (other then the ones from the themeparks) can be found again ... i say make the quest do-able 2 times ... but also make the scematic a loot item off of the krayts ...

you serious?? what a waste of a schematic
mines 460 dmg 2.1 spd (dam sliced of course) and others like 350ish 1.7 spd

on flurry you basic crapy scythe gose for 500k good ones go for 1.5mil to 3mil

I have several scythes and hacks in my possession. I have spent over a year collecting them. I have some really super scythes that are fast and have great damage. One is a 450 max damage.
I don't have any problems finding the scythes myself. I even have a few extra scythe schems laying around. Just had some buddies do the missions. They wanted to fight a krayt and I wanted a schem.
It would be nice to find lootable scythes with special DOTs or something.
