Hi all,
Im was pretty excited whenI read in the patch notes of a Krayt Dragon population boom. So today i have some time get fully buffed and head over to the graveyard active my old waypoints circle the graveyard nothing i killed spawn around my known waypoints etc nothing mind buffs worn off nothing 2 hours wasted for nothing.
I really used to enjoy Krayt hunting but hate wasting time, was i just unlucky and are they any new techniques to Krayt Hunting ?

There has been a boom...no doubt. I have been literally mobbed by Krayts up there lately.
However...
There seems to be "lull" times where nothing is spawning, and you may have been in one of those. A spawn may just have been cleared, or it was simply between spawns. Once they pop, they are in good supply, but when and why they pop is unknown to me. Many members of LOOT fight Krayts waaayyyyy more than me, so they may have more input. We are on Sunrunner, however, so you may see different things on your server.

They drank all the spider venom...thats why it doesnt spawn either

The new krayt spawns are on test center at the moment, don't worry you will see loads of them, and I mean loads of them. The krayt graveyard area about 1000m radious of the POI is full of ancient ones and the great ones, everywhere, the graveyard is no longer a safe place to go alone. You will come accross many many krayts all eager to pound you into the ground.
Spawns are maronic on test center, IMO there are far too many of them. but considering how often they are hunted on a live server it might be ok, but even then there may be one too many.
Next to every krayt Spawn, normal plus juv is one ancient on either side of them. If you ask me its overkill.
Regardless some people might like it.

lol that sounds like good times. Chaos for all. Add Curb to that and armor reduction, and you got one hell of a guild / group event.

That sounds promising right now the only difficult part of krayt hunting is finding the Krays lol

have you guys tried looking inplaces other than the graveyard? in the past week i think i must have killed about 35 non-graveyard krayts. so don't limit yourself to just one point of search.. especially the same spot that everyone else is at.. spread out.. they're out there.

I never had much luck finding them other than the graveyard. Would be nice though,less competition. can u give any waypoints or ranges ?

there is a faction farm north of wayfar waaaaaaaaaaaay in the SW of tatooine on kettemoor. as i was pounding rebels, two juvies and a canyon spawned right on top of me

they are all over the place if you the patience to look.
They are near a lot of the Tatooine POIs.....head to any of the Tatooine POI's and look around.
Last night, my alt found about 30 spawns of Canyons/Juvies otehr than graveyard

I play on shadowfire also and I killed a ton of krayts yesterday. I had a spawn with a single canyon krayt... killed it three times, then went to look for another spawn and found a canyon/juvie about 50m away! I stayed busy till my buffs ran out.
They are all over the place provided the server has been reset recently (as it was yesterday AM). I've been finding plenty about 1500m away from the graveyard POI marker, so keep looking...
