to all those people that keep making new threads on this over and over again... from wut i have gathered this is what is dropping and what isnt.
peko peko albatrossfeathers---- dropping
gurk king hides---*NOT* dropping
giant dune kimogilla scales---- *NOT* dropping
woolymander harrower bone fragments------ *NOT* dropping
to clarify to RIS part newbies--- RIS components as marked above *dont* have stats. they do have a serial number though. just watch that out if u are going to post something about the GDK scales
if anyone has somethin to say to prove otherwise and it is within a week or 2 PLEASE post, and don't one star me i am just trying to help out people and i will fix the post if its not correct. thanks

Buddy just looted 8 kimo scales just a few hours ago on Eclipse. I didn't ask if it was a GDK or not. Do any other Kimo's drop the RIS scales?

nope thats wyh they are called giant dune kimogilla scales. these DONT have stats unlike kimo scales. and i find it highly unlickley he did get a drop of them because everyone has reported them not dropping

OK not annoyed at you, just everyone who has ever asked this 
, THEY ARE CALLED GIANT DUNE KIMOGILA SCALES FOR A REASON, this is because they drop off the Giant dune Kimogila...or in this case not; if your buddy has looted scales I assume they are bone armour enhancements as you refer to them as Kimogila scales...Giant Dune Kimogilas need to drop Giant Dune Kimogila scales...what they are doing with normal Kimogila scales on them is beyond me

yeah, GDK Scales are definitly NOT dropping, and Peko Feathers seem to be dropping too much. all other drops i can't confirm.

All RIS components dont have any stats,ATM the GDK are just dropping loads of the standard kimo scales

lmao damn u guys ALWAYS find something to critisize. but i suppose living in ur mom's basement can be pretty hard on ur self esteem. i put this up to help people and i was going to take any suggests/help with the thread to help people out. instead i get some people who think i can't spell what and instead of making me look stupid they made themselves look stupid and they think those one stars hurt me. sorry but since i have a life outside the forumns i could care less about any stars for real.

why bother. u dont ever use abrieviations? wut is shorter then what, and thats how lots of people my age type... u know like 15 (here comes the jokes and insults i can feel it) if u really think its that big of a deal and some other retard wants to one star me for it u can go to... umm wherever u wanna go i guess

I know these two for sure...since I have killed zillions of each since 12.

pretty much unrelated but still needs to be added to this post which i feel should be stickied until this is fixed.
from all reports i've read and from my own experience killling about 20 of them since pub the gorax isn't dropping either...

I believe they changed the loot tables on several different spawns. RIS components (gurk king hides, Woolamander Harrower Bone Fragments and yes.. Giant Dune Kimo Scales). The Peko Albatross drops them every now and then... but since I don't hunt those bad boys... who cares. Black Sun (outside of the DWB) also have not been dropping any BH armor. You can hire yourself and Ranger and go hunt these bad boys down like the GDK.... but... the result has been the same for many hunters... they are just not dropping. I believe... the system has been setup to cause a greater spawn.. however the calculation tables for dropping has also been temporarily changed. With that said....
EPIC Armor: RIS and Mandalorian Armor is suppose to be the rarest armor in the game. Hence, must be difficult (not impossible) to obtain. It is stated on the development forums (do not recall the exact post) that EPIC Armor will be rare... however it will be ONLY uber armor in the game. They DO NOT want a hundred folks walking around in the suits all over the servers like the abundance of Jedi in the game. It will cease to be any worth if the servers are flooded with the armors. Now... months ago there was a huge drop rate in the game... some folks took advantage of the situation, hunted/looted and purchased the items ... while they were hot. Look at the pearl drop rate now... Now imagine in months from now when you can no longer obtain the pearls...
Rare and uber loot: is suppose to be very very rare. Calculation tables will always exist and change based on current game dynamics and how the drop rate affects the server.
I am very happy that I bought all my RIS components when I did. If and when the CURB comes around... group hunting will have to be accomplished in order to kill off GDKs as in the old days. It is unknown how the drop rates will be then... but until then... I will hold on to all my RIS componets until the CURB and then make my RIS armor.
My advice... hire yourself some hunters, go hunt them down yourself or buy any components you find on vendors or the forums while they are selling... the prices will only go up later on down the road.... I have been playing this game since the very beginning and see how changes affect prices.... a good merchant will know somewhat what needs to happen... but an excellent Merchant knows values and how to play the market. Hence... they will make their money... even if they have to wait a while... they know it is a gamble... but the gamble is to win...
