Thread: Imperial Royal Guard Uniform Idea

----I think it would be a great idea that once you have done the imperial themepark and gain 50k imperial faction points. An e-mail arrives from an unknown imperial source attached to waypoint....you go to this waypoint where you find one imperial royal guard infront of a small imperial tie-fighter(yes on the ground). You talk to him...he begins to talk about how you have be chosen by the emperor to be a royal guard. He tells you that you must go with him to a super star destroyer(just the inside...kind of like the corvette).
----Once there, you battle through a series of villian's, seen through out the saga and extended universe...(you are all by yourself)just remember! You make your way down the hall to the emperor...where he then starts to talk about how you have proven yourself fighting against all these villians...but inorder to truely show your compasion for the emperor; you must face a royal guard. You walk into a small arena off to the right of the throne room; where you battle the royal guard. You loot the royal guard and it gives you the royal guard outfit. You walk back into the throne room and to the emperor; who tells you that you are now apart of the Royal Guard!
----This is now your faction rank...you have the option of displaying this rank or a normal promotional ladder ranking...which can be changed at anytime. When you have the Royal Guard faction title displayed...all imperial npc's will take orders from you! Many will say this is not fair but...a. you got 50k imperial faction, b. you must fight long grueling battles when up in the super star destroyer, and c. this is something that you earn...not something you can just simply buy???(still have no clue what this one means...lol)

Updates**
-You can only do this mission once(the last thing we need is Imperial Royal Guard uniform camping)
-This uniform would be factional armor just like what was seen and talked about in last week's friday post on factional armors
-The uniform would have both underarmor(armor protection under the robe) and the overarmor(the red cape, helmet, red boots, and the red gloves)!
-This would be broken into 4 piece's helmet, red cape with underarmor, protective boots, and protective gloves.
-I am not a big fan of having only special prof's wear the uniform for one simple reason.
-1. Fan's would be in up-roar if only pikeman could become royal guards...it is like saying TKA can only become jedi and I do not want that type of discrimination. But, I think maybe I should make it so that only combat prof's could wear it
-But, I will make a exception, in that if you are pikeman; the emperor will give you a special weapon that can only be wielded by a pikeman...but all combat prof's can wear the uniform!
-Not to worry I am working on a plan for artisans, doctor, and entertainer to get a special item and faction rank...so do not fear

might not work because the emperor would be at two places at one time, 1. the emporer's retreat and 2. the super star destroyer.
but i do love the idea, if it goes through i might go imperial just for this

During the cries of Alderaan, Princess Leia was both at the Rebel Hideout on Corellia, AND on Dathomir.. so I don't think that it would be a problem for the emeror. Especially since only the singled out player would be there to see him, so it wouldn't matter to the players.

i'm rebel, but i love this idea, would make me want to get an imp toon to do this with on another server

so you beat the guy up then take his clothes? thats not very nice... maybe just beating him then when you talk to the empreror he sends you to a uniform requisition officer

i like the idea of fighting to get to the emperor.. maybe to match with EU you have to fight Kir Kanos or Carnor Jax as the end royal guard...
as far as the uniform.. are we talking compelte uniform robe and armor underneath.. or just exterior robes and helmets? would be nice if this was integrated with the faction armor upgrade so people would actually run around as royal guard..

5 stars for you great idea. Although how about you have to be the highest rank possible and you have to be a pikeman, as this is what the royal guards where me thinks.
I know it narrows it slightly but it would be cool to see a small force of royal guardsmen

true...they used force pikes...so pikeman would have to be a prerequisite. I don't want to see a Master Politician wearing these. Which brings us to a new idea. Once youhave attained said title, would you recieve a force pike? BUT...the pike and the robe only be equippable during periods of overt status?
