First of all 5 stars for the whole new loot deal, we really needed the new items
Besides that rest is pretty much a disaster.
Did it really have to be this easy to get ?
Does every house really need to have at least one of each loot by the end of this month ?!
The availability of these loots has really ruined the whole idea of going exploring. I liked, as many others probably, to go hunting for new items...some unique ones that wasnt something youd see in every house. I didnt mind paying for them either really. Now the servers are being flooded with great loots in a way thatll most likely make us all hate them a month from now.
Why ruin such great opportunities this way...it could have kept people exploring for months. Instead we now got people being ripped off and cheated for millions, and ill almost bet 2000 Victory paintings that in a month from now this whole deal will have people just as bored as before but just more annoyed, and then with a backpack full of those crappy victory paintings.
This is just so shortsighted and dumb that im having more and more trouble seeing the point in the whole deal.

Well....what has really changed? Now Imperials can loot the No Division and Victory poster, it doesn't drop like crazy, and your only going to find them if you actually take the missions to find them, unless your Rebel and are faction farming. It just gives us Imperials a chance to get in on something that we should of been able to get in the first place.
For the rest of the loot....well..some of it is extremely easy to farm, but others aren't. They should have made it the other way around though. Right now at least on Sunrunner it seems way easier to find all the new posters then it is to find parts for the Recyclers.
Plus, if you haven't noticed, it appears that there is new loot popping up left and right, I myself have looted a Diagnostic Screen Schematic. I've seen NO mention of this at all on any of the loot lists recently. And I keep hearing about more and more schematics popping up like weapon racks and such. Sure it may take awhile until all the new loot is discovered, but with such a VAST amount of loot, it gives everyone a chance to loot certain things.
You think an afk loot seller is going to be able to keep up with someone who is continuously changing NPC's and planets looking for different loot, there is only a handful of NPC's that are dropping the same types of loot. The rest you have to go out and search for them either by mission or just roaming.
You know what else I noticed??? The planets feel bright with spawns because now people are driving around looking for various types of NPC's on all different planets, hell Talus on Sunrunner is usually bare when you drive across the planet, until Publish 12, now I can drive all the way acrossed it and see spawns left and right.....its great.

True it is great...but that is really shortsighted as i said. Im still running around looking, and i still enjoy it yeah. This was meant to look a little further though then today and tomorrow.
Its just as much the whole economy thats going to get screwed from this. Theres probably 2 pieces of art for each toon on the servers stocked on vendors already. Noone got a clue what to price them after..same paintings can be bought for 0-500K....its that going to get people in a better mood ?
Another reason why its shortsighted and plain stupid. We're limited on decent storage in almost every way in the game, and now we gotta find room for 2000 more items that we'll have to readd to the vendor each 30 days.

Well, same as anytime they add something new and lootable into the game....if it's desirable, it's going to be farmed. I see what you mean in a month or so everyone is going to be deleting most of this stuff, but I still think it has promise. Don't forget there are still alot of people doing the Jedi grind and aren't going to be dazzled by this loot for too long....leaving a gap where real loot hunters can fill in.
Like I said there seems to be a ton of new schematics and such that are harder to find, and not everyone is going to want to go after them, making them worth a little more to the guy who runs out "looking" for a particular type of loot.
Once all the high end looters get what they want from the new loot, they will go back elders, krayts, etc. This gives the people who can't or don't want to kill higher end stuff a chance to make a decent amount of cash.

Well you sure chose the optimistic approach
Sooo once the heavy looters were done looting the rug kits, naboo and gong and so on would you say that left a whole lot for the players that were left ?. This is headed same way, but nice to hear the same point of wiev from the posetive side

Nah it didn't. But the difference now is that the afk looters will only be able to get a small portion of what is looted, since there is many many things that come from all kinds of npc's, and some of them you can't get missions for, or find static spawns. Of course they will still overflow the market with what is available for them to loot....but I like the fact that there is more places for looting other then then same old areas....I've found myself travelling around planets I haven't visited in months
But I'll have to agree, the rate at which some of this new stuff is dropping is a bit overboard. If the drop rate was lowered a tad I could see it working out very well.

This is leading to Evercamp
It allways does, when devolopers are introducing loot that is better than crafters can do and NPCs that have staticspawning area.

Better more than nothing at all, how fun is it to have to kill 10000 enemies of a ceretain mob to get an item you need? that is just more grinding and this game already have enough of that

I'm well aware that this is how its going to be, and along the way everyone will adapt to it ofcourse. I just dont understand the way its done.
Obviously it must have been somethingDEVs had discussed before releasing all this.
What made loot drops at this extreme rate their choice, why did this end up being the best solution ?
Isee your point Mad-Hatter and agree with you most of the way. But wouldnt we have been out looting anyways evne if these would only drop only 5% of the time maybe ?. For me half the fun was hearing rumors of some loot and then going looking for it, now i hear a rumor and go pick up 10 of those, its oki and i get what i want...but its just not as fun in the long run.
And even thoughthis might have no connection to the whole loot deal i just dont see why our houses are capped to a minimum of items when theres still room to release a new loot system of this amount. I wont even try to put a number on thetotal of new items that must have appeared on each server the last 1-2 weeks...but it sure must be huge amounts that are now just filling up everywhere.
Again its the drop rate that makes absolutely no sence. Even old artifacts supposedly removed as a loot long ago, the so called "Very Rare Artifact", the"Palm Fronds" and so on are now just a common loot. Those items were a part of the economy and most people knew their values. They were desired items, nowtheyre messed up like the rest.
..and to A-Tek, you posted while i wrote
. You really think people grind less now ?, once you get the one Victory painting then your going to stop ?. This drove people into grinding even more, thats my honest openion. Now you dont even need patience or hard work, thats what grinders like
