I just lvled into explorer II and am trying to use mask scent to gain xp/lvl. but it dosnt seem to be working.. i run through a group of red creatures with masked scent on and they always detect me. how am i suposed to not be detected and still run through them all ?

Mask Scent doesn't give XP. Mask Scent does what it says it does, Mask's your Scent. It doesn't hide your big alien body from view of some creature defending its territory. Remember things hunt by sight and smell.

well then what is everyone sayin that maskscent is getting them xp so much faster then harvesting ??

No clue, maybe you should ask them and tell me then hehe

mask scent does give xp

if the red dots are detecting u more likly there to high try lower con ones and see what happens at explore 2 kreetles of tatooine will give u scout xp from mask scent

Ahh so use it and walk around kreetles?

ahh thanks for the info.. i was trying it on harder creatures.. like sentry hermit crabs.. thats prob why.. thank for clearing all this up much appreciated

Yeah use it around kreetles at the first lvl u get it. i think they gave me like 110 xp each time it worked.

What creatures should I use on Naboo with Expl. II?

I too would like a little more info on how to use maskscent. Im on rori and am now at explore III and seem to get noticed everytime by every animal, i suspect im not using it right. Ive just been autorunning to a waypoint and everyonce in a while using maskscent as i run. As soon as a creature is relatively near me on my map it says it detected despite my pathetic efforts etc. Is there a trick to using it? Perhaps slowly walking up to the animals? or just kneeling around them? or should you be able to fully run right by them?

Well first of all mask scent is horrible when explore 2. U will need at least explore 3 before u actually start to get it to work. Second, u have to use it on red (aggressive) animals on your radar. It will usually say it when the red arrow turns into a dot if you are successful or not. I have explore 3 and mask scent will work on the lower level reds. When you get 4 it should work well on all of them, although i only have 3 now, but very close to 4. It only gives about 40 xp for the smaller stuff. But i have successfully done it on a mutant womp rat and it gave me 150 xp. So i figure the bigguns out there will give you around this much as well.
