Thread: Please rate my armor...and tell me why I can't wear it!

I purchased a full composite armor suit with the following stats:

Unsliced

Protection: 80 kinetic 79 electric and 70 all others

Vulnerability: stun and lightsaber

Most pieces over 40K damage points

Encumbrance: H 847 -A 773 - M 863

Price: 420K

So here's my problem. I can't wear it, even with stat migration. It seems I will be only able to wear it with buffs.

So I wonder how all others run around unbuffed with full comp suits on? Thanks for any advice.

It's normal for people to have to get buffed in order to wear high encumberance (and yours is really high encumberance too) composite armor, this it nothing new. The only reason why you see a lot of people running around unbuffed wearing full compo is because they simply live in their armor 24/7, so after they died they simply left the armor on without taking it off. Since your armor is not stripped off of you when you die, it remains on even when you no longer have any buffs.

It's descent armor, but some of my heavy 90% I need mind buffs too to put my whole armor on. Key is just to not take it off, and if you spam specials to watch your bar closely.

You're wrong.

I wear full comp armour and I never ever buff. My armour is not uber armour, but 80% kin, 80% elec, 70% base. Total encumbrance for the full suit is 476/439/494. My secondary stats are 500/500/550 (need more mind for heals). I use brandy for healing, but I don't need it to wear my armour. In fact, I can still wear it when wounded.

Shop around for lower HAM armour, and get it encumbrance sliced.

He's right the emcumbrance on that armour is rather high. Get it sliced and hope for some of the enbumbrance is reduced. OR find a 12 pt armour smith that puts some of those xp pts into encumberance.

I think the pant have to be worn now for full coverage but you can still lose the arm pieces.

Thank god were not on the old system of unequipping your armor on cloning if your secondarys wouldn't take it all. Who knows the combat balance might bring it back

experimentation is wasted on encumbrance. the cost of less resistance outweighs the benefits of being able to wear it unbuffed.
