this is about the Force quests - to which i am new to.

Some tell me that if you have novice - once you complete the quest you will recieve the branch

Others thell me that all it does in allow you to trade xp for force xp to use towrds that branch - and that a quest only "allows" you to learn skills from that branch.

Can somone clarify this for me please.

Once you do the quest you recieve access to the BRANCH you have unlocked.

There are two different kinds of "unlocks".

The first kind of unlock is the "Free Unlock" which you may have recieved if you mastered the professions your Holocrons told you to master, before Publish 10. It's a bit complicated on how it works, but if you got "free" unlocks, you could unlock a branch in a tree and recieve all the xp necessary to fill it. This is still available to a very few people who haven't traded in their free unlocks yet, but it's not possible to "earn" a free unlock anymore.

The current method of unlocking involves doing a quest at the village. Once you have succeeded in the quest, you "unlock" the branch associated with that quest. You must earn the FS experience to fill the Novice box of that tree, and you must earn the FS xp to train the boxes in the branch you unlocked, just like any regular skill.
