900,000 weapons xp = 30,000 FS xp

90,000 combat xp =30,000 FS xp

1 cap of elite combat profession yields 60,000 FS xp

1,225,000 FS xp per tier / 60,000 FS xp per cap = roughly 20.5 caps!

1 phase = 3 weeks

3 weeks= 21 days

20.5 caps / 21 days per phase = roughly .98

WHICH MEANS!!!

IN ORDER TO COMPLETE ONE COMPLETE TIER OF FS SKILL

ONE MUST CAP AN ELITE COMBAT PROFESSION WEAPON XP

APPROX. ONCE PER DAY!

HAPPY GRINDING!!!

Minus the fact that the XP conversion was made by sadists - because it realy was. I mean holy **edit** SOE - way to drop the game's fun factor.

Do you have to max all 4 boxes in a phase's time?

Okay first things first - yes this is my first ever post on the forums - so I expect the flames to come but....

As far as I am aware you dont need to get all the XP for the Branch in this phase that you got it - you just need to unlock the branch and then you can take as long as you want to get the necessary FS XP be that the 3 Weeks of the phase or the next year. I guess if you want your Jedi as quick as possible though 1 XP Cap a day is the minimum.

Sure the numbers sound crazy, but all that we need to do is prepare ourselves for it. I got glowy as a master bounty hunter. Hopefully I will get at least 1 free branch when this old man finally decides to pay me a visit. Right now though I am redoing my template to make the grind easier.

1. Go melee, it is much easier in my opinion to cap melee skills.

2. If I do get a free unlock, it will be the melee speed line, putting me at 92 speed.

3. I am going swords and tkm, once master I will be able to cap both skills in one buff session.

This is my plan as of right now, and I am ok with the fact that it might be a while before I get my jedi. One of the things I have realized about gaming self is that I don't mind the grind, it is not so bad to have a goal out there to shoot for.

Don't forget, those that went before us had it much worse than we do. Imagine doing this whole grind, dying once and then having to make the decision to re-roll because of perma-death. Seems like a fair deal to me.

29 profs = 5 free unlocks

1 fs branch = 1.275 mil fs exp

1.275 mil fs exp = 12.75 mil medical exp

guy doing pet trick while i heal him = 600-700 exp/heal

med exp cap = 80k

80k med = 8k fs

8k fs exp every 5 minutes = 96k/hour

I got my last branch in about 15 hours of actual grinding time (minus time spent waiting for tumblers, stomach, internet problems, etc)

I would like to take a minute to point out that anything I may have written in the above post in no way reflects badly on SOE or any of its affiliates, and in fact I am ecstatic and overjoyed that I am able to participate in such a well-programmed, bug-free, and engaging game with such wonderful and helpful forums moderated by such fine and upstanding people. Please don't permaban my account. Thankyou.

its a little different.

You can keep master all the way through.

try this..

Im a rebel...and lets say that I had two imprial bases placed at a certain distance from each other. Now say i was able to run back and forth between these two bases farming xp at each end.As a pistoleer using a moderate damage geo, and if im lucky, the BH0040 speed cap...

50(conservative) STs x 3500xp each = 175k pistol xp/17.5k combat xpfor about 10 minutes work

175k x 18(number of runs perbuff) = 3.15m pistol xp/315k combat xpper buff.

I dont know any novices who can bring in these numbers.

PS: I havent actually done this, but from what I know of pitsols, its not unreasonable.

2. When Jack Bauer goes to the airport and the metal detector doesn't go off, security gives him a gun.
3. If Jack Bauer saw a terrorist reaching for a bomb to blow himself up, Jack would shoot the bomb first. Nobody steals a kill from Jack Bauer.

This is exactly what I was thinking but didn't have the numbers available in front of me. Everybody forgets about combat xp which albeit is harder to cap, but brings in a much better conversion ratio.

People who are moderate-hardcore players will do a single buff session per day to stay even with the village cycles.

Casual players will take a bit longer, maybe 2-3 times as long (around a year)

Powergamers will get all the xp they need in the next couple weeks and then whine about the quests being gated

Don't forget weapon/combat xp only applies to 2 of the trees, I think it is heightened senses (which has luck and persuasion) can only take things like healer/scout/creature handler xp, so a lot of people can actually double dip here if they want any of those skills, or just want to complete the xp requirements faster.

Well it wasnt planned to get all trees full in the shortest time.. it was meant to fill them whilst playing over a longer time.

Thank goodness, and previous grinding,i have now 21boxes full, and will get the rest inTKA-Exp.

Then Exit Quest. Jedi trials, and on with my second slot... who wants Jedi anyway, i´d rather Play the game.

The difference with this way to the holo grind is that, when grinding through all those profs there was every chance you might

make a thing or two to sell back to the community.

With this way you just pick two combat profs so you can go back to the village with 1.8 million weapon xp and 180k combat xp.

Can you really see anyone getting jedi by grinding all the craft and sense trees?
