Thread: Armour and Cash Woes

I decided to come back for JTL, unfortunatly my character on Chimaera has been deleted, so Im starting from scratch.
I want to go back to hunting on Rori and eventually, Dantooine, but Ive totally forgotten the Art of N00b. A set of decent(70%+) Ubese will cost me over 100k, so can anyone recommend fast ways to get cash at 2 or 3 boxes into a starter weapon skill(Im currently at one-handed 3 and pistols 2)? I played the game nice and slow the last time, this time around I just want a competent combat character quickly so I can get enough cash to start my PA and get a decent ship, but that means armour, which I probably wont be able to afford until Im well into Fencer if I follow my normal rate of play.

I'd recommend you find yourself a good guild that is generous towards new members. Have them get you started with some new equipment.
Then, go to the Mining Outpost on Dantooine, join a solo group, get a full set ofbuffsand start running missions. You can find missions that range from 12k to 27k there easy in a good solo group. You'll get money and xp in no time.

The problem with that is that Ill be starting my own PA as soon as possible, it wouldnt be right to just join a PA to get some free stuff then bugger off a week later.
Also, I wont be able to kill stuff on dant fast enough yet, even with buffs Ill get mauled if more than one critter aggros me.

Well, there's always the themeparks. I'd start off with Jabba's, as that one seemed the easiest to me. You won't need armor or buffs right away for this park.
Hit the bazaar in Theed and Coronet, there's usually people selling low end composite for relatively cheap. Just be careful of armor at 1/1 condition, there's always some moron trying to sell it.
If you've not got enough cash to get a set of buffs, try hanging out on the beach at Kaadara whomping on thugs for a while. You'll make some decent money in an hour or so, since every NPC kill will drop at least some credits. You'll also wind up with loot you can resell. If you get lucky and get some adhesives (of any kind), that's anywhere from 150k to a million right there with a little luck.

you could try being honest with a guild.....
or the solo route....
if you are dilligent, you can get buffed and run kaadu on naboo for ok cash. but the fastest way is , gasp, a real group running mokk/janta, and you just kinda hide in the crowd.
for a sample of a solo progression...if you really want to do it alone is...behind the starport riffraff, keren, naboo.... kaduu, gualamas, both naboo....than quenkers...but only the missions the are 5k, these do not poison or disease.

Do like what the last guy said, Do Jabbas themepark. Sell the paintings that right there after you finish could be around 600k profit. Then you are well on your way.
