Hello there,

I'm looking to learn about text in the game. I have a sign I want to put on my house but I'm having trouble doing it. The sign I want should look something like this:

________

More Here

I've seen many signs look that way and also on their harvestors and the lot. How do they get the multiple lines like that? I can get colors to work fine. But I've seen multilined and designs (I'm sure are just other keys on the keyboard). But can someone help me please? I want a pretty sign

You have to enable copy and paste.

Create your text in /notepad and copy/paste it.

IGN : Arran / Gare

in options, controls(?), keymap, chat tab, ensure you have the copy and the paste commands set to something

open up a new email window. in the body, type the message exactly as you want it, taking into account thatall lineswill be centered horizontally. use the copy command.

open up the dialog box to name your building

using the paste command here will put in line returns so your sign will be multiline

if you want color, use the commands um.. \#123ABC where 123ABC are html color codes, many charts available on the web

pretty sure it's \# and not /# i can never remember

as soon as you type a \ though, it'll look like you're not typing anything in the email window when in fact you are. a way around this is type #123ABC then go back to type the \ then hit the End key on your keyboard to get to the end of that line and start typing the text that will be colored

i don't know what the limit is for max # of characters in house signs, but all color codes do use up that limit, so more colors = shorter sign name
