I am upgrading my speakers and I can not decide between

Klipsch Promedia GMX A-2.1

and

refurbished Logitech Z-680 THX-Dolby-DTS 5.1 (built in sound decoding)

or

Creative Labs MegaWorks THX 5.1 550 (does not do sound decoding)

Can SWG use DTS? Is the SWG sound capable of 5.1 or would it need to be upmixed from stero to 5.1?

Any suggestions would be apprieciated

I got a set of Altec Lansing (i think thats how its spelled) speakers fot my birthday awhile back. They have one 8" woofer for the floor, and the L and R speakers each have a4"midrange and two 1" tweeters. The sound quality is awesome, and when i saw the same set in the store they are pretty reasonably priced. The only drawback is that there is no headphone jack on the speaker system.

Klipsch early, Klipsch often. They're THE best in the business in my opinion, I have a 5.1 set for my desktop and a 2.1 set for my laptop. There's nothing like them.

Nathus is correct. The Klipsch speakers are the best computer desktop speakers currently produced. Although they still can't beat a pair of $100 headphones for sound quality.

I picked up a setof Logitech Z-680 5.1s and plugged em in and turned up the volume.. They were awesome! Then I figured out that I needed to set my comp settings to 5.1 (not just 2-spkrs) and man, what an improvement!

No regrets in buying these at all!

Hah!

I got mine for free after completing a mission for C-3P0 in the rebel outpost. Real good speakers they are! Now if only they could play music...

Frankly....any decent set of speakers are wasted on SWG, if that's why you're buying them.

I have a set of Cambridge Soundworks Megaworks THX 250D 2.1 that im very very happy about....ad theyre ½ the price of Klipsch
