I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before but people with and properkeyboard (british) can not enter "\" in swg. This means we can't add nice colourful text in the game. If you didn't know about it you do now, and if you did know about it when is it likely to be resolved.

well \ is a pretty standard character believe it or not

however you can get a friend to type one in a in-game email and you can copy/paste it =)

Cancer Sucks

If you press the "\" key on a british keyboard it doesn't who up in the game, shows up everywhere else but the damn game it's an annoyance that shoudln't be too hard to fix.

A workaround is to simply type the text in an text editor, then copy/paste into swg.

Look I dont' want a work around I know how to work around I want it FIXED!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want to know if they know about it and I want to know what they are going to do about it! simple! Where in my post have I asked to have a work around. people need to read more before they start typing I think.

Dunno why the "\" doesnt work in SWG for you but another workaround (Please dont shoot me ) would be to change the charmap to american english while playing SWG. Have'nt tried it yet myself but you should be able to change it in win xp through "control panel" -> "Regional and Language..." -> "Tab Language" -> "Button Details" -> "Button Add". Then you can change charmap through the Language bar in your taskbar + you can change it back to brittish after you are done with SWG.

Now i work as a developer myself and i know hard it is to work with international customers due to the various keyboard layouts that is out there but why the "\" key doesnt work ingame is a mystery to me.
