***Warning this guide may be out of date, use information at your own risk***

I have just moved to a player city and would like to try to explain taxation from a players perspective. There are currently 3 forms of Tax, Income, Property, Sales. Each tax has its own way of taking money to give to the city halls treasury.

Income tax:

Tax paid on a person weekly on a set day, i hope in on day 1 in a player city ill re-post if its everyday. In city info,Income tax of 1000 = 1000cr, a week

Property Tax: I have Effeciency IV on merchant so I am given a -30% modifier

In city info, Property tax of 10 = 10% on a merchant tent with the modifier I am given a additional +2cr/hr onmaintence

Sales Tax:

Like in the real world there is sales tax, a tax of 1 in the city info equates to 1% of 100cr. So if i sold a chair on a vender for 100cr the price will appear to be 101cr. At first i though this was a bug, but its not the sales tax is added on to the cost so you see the total price of the item.

In recap:

Income tax: 1000, will equal 1000cr a week

Property Tax, A none merchant should post info on there tax, i have modifiers so i cant give a accurite estimate.

Sales tax: 1 equals 1%and 1% of 100 = 1, so for a item you price at 100 remember 1 will be added when placed on the vender.

Please post more info on property tax if you are a none-merchant in a player city with a declared residence. If i got something wrong i incourage you to correct me.

regarding sales taxes, it also applies to any items offered to your vendor. So if you have deliveries made of products for resale or resources to your vendor, you pay the sales tax when you buy them, even though you are going to resell them, which pretty much has the net effect of doubling the sales tax on the finished product sold to the consumer because merchants will just pass along the additional cost.

You posted it here, in SOE's forum, where they explicity state you have agreed to forego any rights to said information by the fact you accepted the TOS and EULA when registering. You posted this information on a public forum. You have no way to enforce your restrictions on your information. You posted an erroneous and incomplete guide with information readily and easily available on the Politician Forum FAQ, this site's Advanced Guides: Player Cities, several other fan sites dedicated to Player Cities, and just about any Mayor or actively involved merchant citizen already knows it quite well. Especially the Sales Taxes. Which that information is also available in the Merchant's Forum and FAQ.

Im not copyrighting them, my propblem was with there "Exclusive" use of guides which i have just resolved. I didnt want to get a email, from swgcenter, stating im violating a policy I didnt agree to or even see because i let another site like warcry or allakasam use a guide I wrote. Im reverting the guide and removing the top part, that was only to get there attention. I also wanted to alert them that they may be lossing money from someone who says they are me submitting my hard work for there bank account.
