Thread: How to have fun w/ new AI in JTL?

Anyone have a guide on how to have fun in JTL when tier 4 ties fly out 1k on every pass? I feel like I'mplaying a jousting game. 80% of my time is spent chasing down my targets... when we should be blasting each other at least 50% of the time. 
Sorry, don't mean to complain here.... just wanting some help enjoying JTL again. I loved it before this last patch.

Here's the trick: Slow down. It's very easy to get behind them.
Cut your engines to 50% as they approach.
Steeryour ship so that the enemy you want to shoot at is going to pass you to the side.
As they get close, begin a 180-degree turn towards theside your target is going to pass you on. Your target should easily slip right into your crosshairs. Throttle up, but no to the point you let him get too far out of your sights. Fine tune your speed and roll, and blast him to bits.
With Tier 4 ships, once they're starting to slip into my sights I throttle up to about 80-85%. After that, there is no escape.
Even if they just came on-screen and are attacking you head-on, it should take no more than 2 passes for you to get behind your target.

piloting require skills, knowledge and intelligence (unlike ground fighting that sums to who hits f3 faster).
first, I'd suggest to read the manual, there you will learn ALOT of usefull things
second, understand that tier 3,4,5 ships (I mean player's ships, yours, mines whoever's) are quite similar, I mean all can be used as ACE, and they all fit to a different piloting style, and they all handle in different ways.
third, use droids, ANYONE past tier 3 can get up to 1k max speed without booster, learn how to do it.

great response guys. that would be very helpful to a newbie. i almost feel bad i made my post in jest.
but.. i'm a 3343 pilot. i know how to play the game, but the new AI makes the game really boring. the old dog fight(get behind your enemy) style was much more enjoyable. i actually did have to change speeds and pitch correctly to get behind them. now, with the tier 4 and 5 ties, i have to just joust them. i'm really upset, because i loved JTL... but now it's not much fun. in fact, i think it is easier to take them out. they come straight at me. one or two passes and they are disabled.
again, thank you guys for your replies. it's nice to not see flames.
