Hey all I found us a fix without having to usetaskmanager. Go into your starwarsgalaxies main directory, and if u don't already have it, make a new text file but name it user.cfg, and within this file put the following text:
[SwgClient]
allowMultipleInstances=true
[ClientGame]
skipIntro=true
now yes this is what we all have had up til now, but the patch deleted it, so go back and if the file is still there, delete everything in it, and copy/paste what I have above, save (make sure its user.cfg and not user.cfg.txt) and it will work now
if this works for you, or if it doesn't work for you, please drop a reply.any feedback appreciated to confirm this works for us all

if you have a program running, it is by default "one instance" of that program. many people have 2 (or more) paid accounts on one server, so it's handy to have both characters in-game. but by default, only one instance of SWG can be run - if you try to run it againfor your second character to log in, windows tells you that you've already got one instance of SWG running and won't start another. this workaround allows multiple instances of SWG to be run. (can't remember the max. no. of instances, but you'd better have alot of RAM

HeHe! That was the first place I went after finding the MI did not work. It was still there so I never thought about it being corrupt. Good catch! TY
