Why do I have to drop ALL MY PILOT SKILLS just to go to a different squadron in the Freelance Pilots?

Er, thats just stupid, what are the reasons behind this?

probable reasons:

1. pilot does not take any skill pts so you could master imperial and freelancer at once which leads to...

2. being able to pilot any ship

I don't like it either but it makes sense

No, I'm talking about switching between say Jabba and Corsec or something.
