Well i dont have a guide but with most ship equipment the higher the recharge rate the better. This is not the case with Droid speed where the higher number takes longer. Hope this helps.

The capacitor's recharge rate is how fast the weapon gauge begins to regan. The higher the number the faster it recharges. What you'll want to do is compare this number to your Weapon's energy/shot gauge. If your capacitor recharge rate is 50 and your weapon's energy/shot rating is 25, then you're doing pretty good.

Assume that you can fire a weapon every 1 second and your capacitor recharges your weapons every 2 seconds. Assume also that you fire your weapon for 4 seconds. What you've got is 4 shots being fired for 100 units of power used. Your capacitor would therefore recharge 50 units of power in 2 seconds... so in 4 seconds it'd recharge 100 units of power. You'd end up gaining back what you lost in the same amount of time in this example.

Please note that I'm not sure how fast the capacitor recharges, nor am I sure how fast the weapon fires... as this is determined by your weapon fire rate and differs weapon to weapon.

Your "Engine Top Speed" determines how fast your ship can go. I havea 84 Engine Top Speed rating and I'm going a maximum speed of 815.

Are you sure about the droid interface speed number being better the lower it is? It seems that every level 1 part I loot is like 14, while level 6 7 and 8 parts are all in the mid to upper 40's...

Anyways, here's a good algebraic formula to figure out which gun to use today. It works on your standard style guns, ie when the vs armor and vs shields numbers are close, not like ion cannons and distruptors, where they are like .7 and .3.....here goes...

Take the vs armor (A) and vs shields (S) numbers, add them together, then divide that number by 2. This gives you the average effectiveness (E). Then take your max (X) and min (N) damages, add together, and divide by 2 for your average damage (D). Multiply the average effectiveness (E) by the average damage (D). Now, divide that number by the refire rate (R). This equals your average damage per second (YEAH)! Now you just have to compare energy per shot, mass, reactor, blah blah blah, and you know which gun you want to use!

or for your uber geeks out there...

( A + S ) / 2 = E( X + N ) / 2 = D( E * D ) / R = YEAH!LOL ... or{ [ ( A + S ) / 2 ] * [ ( X + N ) / 2 ] } = YEAH!

Gawd I hate math
