Thread: Melee powerups needing attention plz.

After a long time as a combat only character I decided too turn my hand to crafting for a change so I got artisan 4-4-4-4 within a short space of time soI gathered enough resources to craft a few powerups for my power hammer and was immediately struck by the lack of good melee powerups compaired to ranged ones.
I sat there for an hour experimenting to get a good powerup with a max damage or speed mod on the primary stat but alas it was not to be. I've had a good look on vendors butI haven't seen any at all. I see plenty of ranged PuP's with great stats but for melee it seems to be limited with the damage and speed mods on the secondary stat or lower.
Is it even possible to get the speed or damage on the primary stat? I hope so and if not could the devs spread their love to the puppys

No, it's not possible to get damage or speed on the primary stat.

nope it's not possible....this sucks too because melee weapons are typically a WHOLE LOT slower than ranged weapons except rifles.....melee needs speed on the primary stat for pups......damage not so much because melee weapons are already 2 times more powerful than ranged weapons and having damge on the primary pups stat would increase this a lot over ranged weapons making ranged professions even less attractive......I mean, everyone already goes melee for the defense alone anyway...don't give them another reason to dropped ranged weapons. I know I would certainly drop all marksman if I could get commando without it.

For a melee power-up the primaries are:
1. Special move health cost
2. Point blank penalty
3. Special move mind cost
4. Ideal range
The speed, min damage, max damage are all secondary abilities, this is taken from the artisan forum.
