Has anyone else noticed that the devs have been on the ball ever since JTL came out? Now that they can focus on the ground game, fixes have been coming out faster than usual. They've been patching JTL fixes, and nowthe infamous Imperial Hat has gone live again.
Communication has also picked up a bit, it seems. I see a new developer post almost constantly, wheras before, I would be lucky to see one every 1-3 days. The combat upgrade seems to be fresh in their minds, and I am seeing new things about it daily.
Well done developers! I hope that we can expect this to continue in the future. I applaud your efforts ever since JTL. Although the ground game was overlooked during JTL, I'm glad that the focus is starting to shift towards it again, while still putting out fixes for JTL.
/cheer

this is great new, and i have been unfortunatly painfully aware of this.
being a UK player on a european server my server has gone down at mid day (my prime playing time, as i work weekends and nights) just about every day i've been on for quite some time now, although i dont think it was down today. but i've only jsut logged on, so i wouldnt know.
It's great that the patches are comming out, but i wish they would come out during our regular reset time like when you get yours. if its not urgent, we can wait. everyone on the european server always moans when the servers go down. its unexpected. at least come 4am you know the server is going down. at 11:40 and you've just got buffed and are waiting for your shuttle you dont expect to be told you just wasted 20k.
well done on having more time for fixes now JTL is done, but can you please listen to us poor europeans

Out of frustration I have not been playing much lately at all. What fixes do these patches take care of?

They have fixed many bugs that cropped up in JTL, including the "target the ship that shot you" bug.
They have fixed numberous issues with graphics and joysticks.
They added a few new things, like they put the Imperial hat back in, made GCW bases explode, and added a general repair tool for starships.

That's about all I can thinkf of off the top of my head, but there are more.
NOTE: The Imperial hat is technically not fixed, but it is wearable by people with short haircuts, and non-aliens, exluding Zabrak, I believe.

Uh oh, someone else has posted about SOE not caring about Europe...prepare to see the post deleted with no explanation anytime soon!
Im in the UK but play on a US server so am used to it, but I thought the restart times were earlier for Euro Servers?
My current gripe is that JTL was released on the 29th October, and not even due out in the UK till the 12th November. Pitiful...I know a lot of people quitting just because of this.

I am pleased with what I've seen in the past week. I hope it is a sign of things to come.

Forget JTL fixes. I was talking ground fixes. Not just any fixes, how 'bout some combat fixes. JTL is out, great, whatever. #1 priority should be to unbork ground combat and the cgw....if that is even possible to do now.
Fixing simple targeting features/problems is not 'on the ball' imo. Try fixing the base levelsystem that ground combat is based on, try giving a reason on why you would want to drop a base, try giving some backbone to the cgw and make you 'feel' like a supresed rebel or 'feel' like dominating imperial scum. Try making it so more then a handfull of class combo's hold a valid position in battle. How bout some quests that are actuall quests and not something that can be done is one buff session. How bout some quests that are not so mindlessly put together...like..."Ok old man visited me, i kill some sith that are equal to meatlumps, I go to a village, get a mission to ride around in circles for 3 hours, /bam you just became FS", /blah, yeah I bet all that riding checking on sith 'camps' really tuned in my jedi skills.
Sorry for the rant, it is not usually my style. I have watched this game go from something along the longs of a life long fantasyfor a good swg rpg, to a heaping pile of half baked idea's, minimal vision, and poor execution.
Faction members need to be perma-overt, Jedi's need perma-death and blue glowies, make like 2-3 'newt' factions active for players to hop behind, and start making what you're toon stands for actually mean something.

non-humans shouldn't be allowed to wear an Imperial uniform any way. You are all slaves.

I was JUST thinking that my self when I was reading the loot changes, and noticing the numerous recent post by Thunderhart and Tiggs. It not only may be due to the finishing of JTL but a paradigm shift at SOE. we can only hope
